Stella speaks

Howdy Everybuddy.  We've been having a good week.  Lots of nice sunny winter days and with the thought that Spring is just around the corner.  Here's what we've been up to lately.

Here's our cousin Tyler.
He's training to be a Search Dog.
USAR (Urban Search and Rescue)
We are very proud of him as he is great at his job.  He does not wear this little cape while working though as it may catch on something while he is searching.

Here's my little brother and my sissy cat Penny.
Spoilt brats I say.

Penny just loves this spot on the kitchen window ledge.
Gross I know.
My dinner plate gets put on that rack after it's washed.
Mum says when you're nearly 15 you can sleep where you want.

I too love the sun and enjoy snoozing away an afternoon.

Here's Rory in a pair of new boots.  Mum has been feeding Rory and I sardines each day to see if it will help with Rory's joints and some rough spots he has on his elbows.  Many people have also mentioned Coconut Oil as a good additive.  Any opinions on that would be appreciated.

And here Rory realises who's the boss
when I take over his bed, ahahahaha.

Here's a couple of funnies for you.
Mum says the chocolate one is for the mums of Blogville.

Have a great weekend mates.
No worries, and love, Stella, and Rory

  5. We've been having sunny weather, too. And lots of buds are starting to appear. Maybe spring is on it's way.

SHE says we'd be good search and rescue dogs, if the buried peep was holding a sandwich..... Congrats to Tyler.

Enjoy those sun puddles before it starts getting too hot.

  6. Oh, I LOVES your new booties Rory!!! Very dashing indeed!!! I sure hopes the sardines help, I do hear fish oil is very good additive for both your coat and joints and lots of peeps put coconut oil in their doggies foods too! Ma hasn't tried yets, butts she sure is considering giving me one or both. I wish I could remember who in Blogville does use it ~ it slips my mind right now.
Anyhu, looks like you've shown everyone who is Queen Bee in your house Stella!! Hey, they all need a reminder now and then, ya know?
    Kisses,
    Ruby ♥

  7. Of course you are the boss. And thank you for letting my MOM know that you can sleep on the kitchen counter when you become a certain age. I'm 14 1/2 so I think it is time I get to do that. Oh yea and MOM says give Rory a BIG BIG hug and kiss.
    Blessings,
    Goose

Oh those lovely sunpuddles....and how wonderful to have a 'superdog' for a cousin!

C'nut oil is certainly a useful food additive for dogs - but the one thing fish oils can do which that can't is help the joints. It is thought to help in wound healing, (so a tick in that regard for Rory), the skin and furs will shine and overall health more readily maintained. For the creaky joints though, you can't beat the Omegas!

Just think Stella - if you could sneak some of the c'nut oils for yourself, how those golden curls would glow!!! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  12. Howdy! Sure looks like things are going well. We agree with The Mom, a 15 year old cat should sleep where it wants to. Sometimes you gotta bend the rules. Good to see all of you.

  13. Coconut Oil - the natural pure type with no additives is excellent to add to doggies food - Mom has been putting it in my dinner every night and it really helps with the dry skin. You can even rub a little in sore spots like the elbows.

  14. Great to hear from you Stella, thanks for the update on everyone. Gosh you should be SO proud of your cousin Tyler. Wishing him success in his training and an illustrious career.
And Gail says she TOTALLY understands the chocolate thing…
    Toodle pip!
    Bertie.
PS Sorry, we don't know anything about coconut oil, but we hope it can help Rory.

Coconut oil is wonderful and will help Rory a lot!! We use it for cooking and lots of other things -- like when Tom cuts his hand working on a big truck!!! Thanks for your visit!!
