Wednesday, Just so you nose we care.

Howdy Mates, you nose we are thinking of everybuddy involved with big storm Sandy.    We're waiting to hear from our mates so we nose that you are all ok.  Hope your power is back on real soon.

Here's a few photos of our garden.  Mum is amazed she has flowers at all cause Rory and I sorta like to eat plants and move them to other places.  Sometimes, it makes her go coo coo in the head, hehehe.

Just a couple of little friends in the garden.

A seat in the shade.
This is a Bay Leaf tree which gives us heaps of beautiful shade.

Our Angel brother Brucey, sends mum a flower every
anniversay of his going to the Rainbow Bridge to make her smile.

Mum planted this climbing rose in the worst possible spot
(or so she was told) and it has thrived and the smell of the little pink roses is wonderful.

Mum felt eyes boring into her!
Muuuuuuuuuum, what're you doing down there?

We call these little flowers Seaside Daisies and they self seed.  They have started to grow on the wall of the old oven that used to be in the old cottage that was here.

One plant that even mum has success with.
This one's a bit puny but we tried to prune it too.
Lovely smelling lavendar.

My big brother's toys from when he was a little fella.

We put the top on our little gazebo.  A few years ago when we first got it, it had sides and everything to shade everybuddy but we felt kinda hungry and chewed it to bits and pieces.  Yes you guess it.  Mum went coo coo again.  Gosh she's funny.

Our little house is back in the Summer position.

And last, our pink geraniums.  Very hardy plant.  It must be cause we have tried our best to 'prune' it but it keeps on growing.

Take care mates.   You're in our thoughts.
No worries, and love, Stella and Rory

Blimey, the Vet Stole Our Blood

Blimey Charlie mates, we went to the Vets yesterday and she STOLE our blood.  It all started as a nice quiet Wednesday.

Mum decided she needed to go shopping.  Needed to mum?  Or just plain wanted to.  Hmmm.  We'll let the readers decide that one.    She said we needed dog food.  Well she totally forgot the dog food but she did come back with this:

She said now we can have a cuppa and some toast for dinner every night and she'll never have to cook again.  The family told her "She's dreamin".

Anyhoo, back to the story.  Mum was meeting us at the Vets cause she was running late.  She was waiting and waiting and then got a phone call from Dad.  HE WAS VERY CROSS!!!

Rory would not get in the car!  Now I thought it was hilarious.  I was sitting in the car, calling him, laughing at Dad and having a wonderful old time.  There was Dad, trying his best, but Rory would not get in.  He went and hid under the bushes.  Rory, not Dad!

Dad doesn't know why he wouldn't get in.  Usually Mum is with us so we reckon he was just being a total SOOKY LA LA.  I couldn't help it Stellie, I was a bit scared and wanted mum.  That's ok Rory, everyone knows you are a Mum's boy.  It was bloomin' funny though.  Hehehehe.  Well, I thought so but Dad had a different opinion.   Anyhoo, Dad got some treats and before he could say "Rory, get in that blxxxy car" he jumped in easy as, and off they went.

We did get our seat belts put on!

So we got to the Vets for our yearly immunisation.  All is going well. We are both a bit nervous cause we haven't been for a while butt our Vet Anna is lovely and a very gentle person so we relax and we're "Good Dogs".  Anna gives us liver treats, then mum gives us some and before we knew what was happening we had been jabbed and didn't even know it.

We are feeling happy.  Mum, Dad and Anna are jabbering away and then we hear "blood test" and wonder what the heck is going on.  Apparently since we changed our Dog School and are driving down to the big smoke, hehe, Adelaide, we are more at risk of Heart Worm.  Here in the Adelaide Hills it is extremely rare (colder weather maybe) and the Vet has not seen a case for years.  Anyhoo just to be on the safe side we had to be tested for Heart Worm.  I, being the smallest and most easily held bravest went first.

Mum held my head and told me how absolutely wonderful I was and Anna stole my blood.  She was so darn quick I didn't have time to even squeak.  Next it was Rory's turn.  He didn't get to go up on the table like me.  Don't know why.  Anyhoo, he just stood there with mum telling him he was wonderful too.  Before Rory could say, Muuuuuuuuuum, Anna was finished with him too.  Jeez she's fast.

So last thing we had our weight checked on the scales.  I was a trim, taut and terrific 14.4 kgs (31.7 lbs) and Rory was a cool 74 kgs (163 lbs)We said see ya later mates and off we went home.

About an hour later we got a phone call to say everything was fine and next week we go back for a once a year injection to prevent heartwork.  Easy Peasy.

Well, that's all for now folks.

Monday Morning, Good or Not so Good

Howdy Everybuddy, mum has to go on a course today
and won't be home with us.
This is how I feel.

Stellie doesn't care.  She always feels like this.

She said she will do some housework.
There is always socks to pick up, (AGAIN!!)

Mum says we can also have one of these.

Then I'll probably do a lot of this.

While Stellie will watch the door for mum to come home.

Hope your week is a good one.  Take care mates.

Breakfast Time, hurry up mum.

Howdy Everybuddy, how does your day start?  We (well I, Stella) like to wake everybuddy around 6.00 am by scratching and pounding on the laundry our bedroom door.  It's a good time to get up as far as I'm concerned.  You know, the early bird catches the worm, even though I'm not a bird and I don't think I would like to eat worms, ewwwww.

Anyhoo, mum drags her sorry self springs out of bed like the 52 year old she is, lets us out, makes a cuppa and the morning begins.

Some mornings she decides it's photo time.  Here is one of her efforts this morning.  I do not know why I had to sit on a chair.  I felt like a fool and I reckon Rory should have been the one to sit on it.  We were hungry and it made our eyes glow.

Trying out a black and white.

Then it was time for some bitey face action.

Owwwwww, mum, she really bit my face, owwwww, Stellie stop.

Sometimes mum lets me sit on her lap.  She says my bum is bony.

Enough of this foolin' around mum.  I think Rory is hungry!

At last.  We know we have to sit before mum puts our bowls down.
Do you like Rory's bed outside.  Mum's invention when we got a new lounge a while back.

Enjoy your day everybuddy.

PRIZES AND TYLER'S 3RD BIRTHDAY

Howdy Everybuddy, we were lucky enough to win some prizes when two of our mates had competitions.

The first was from Dougall and Floyd.  We had to guess Dougall's weight.  If you don't know Dougall and Floyd pop on over and say hello.  They are Aussie's too!

A tiger.  Yay our local footy club is called the Tigers.
Mmmmm, Roo bites.  They were totally yummy.

Butt, first we had to get stuck into the chewy.
Mum cut it into half.  We have to share.

Triple tug action.

A few days later, the Postman, who loves us dearly cause we always let mum know he is here, hehehe, brought another parcel.
This was from our mate Garth Riley who lives in Richmond, Virginia, for his Silly Photo contest. These gifts were handmade by Garth's mum and they are amazing.  We will hang them with pride on our Christmas tree.

For those of you who haven't seen it,
this is my silly photo.  I am relaxing at football.  I was sound asleep meditating for maximum enjoyment.

Howdy Mates.  Rory here.  Another special occasion today is
TYLER'S 3RD BIRTHDAY!!
He's our sissy's dog and he comes to visit a lot and
we love him heaps
Happy Birthday Tyler.

He gets to come walking with us when his mum is away working.

He has always looked after us,
especially when we were just little pups.

It could be a tiring job!

 Partners in crime, hehehe.

That's all for now folks.
Enjoy your weekend.
