Happy Thanks Blogville

Oh mates.  Where do we start to say what Blogville means to us.  It has given us laugh out loud moments, tears of laughter, tears of sorrow and everything in between.   Our family first moved to Blogville in 2010.  Our angel brother Bruce paved the way for us.

He loved pizza and also scones.

He (and mum) started to blog, but sadly he went to the Rainbow Bridge after four posts.  The most amazing thing was, after only four posts and a couple of comments, when Bruce passed away mum received 35 comments with heartfelt condolences to her and our family.  Thirty five!  Mum was amazed and comforted like never before.  Thirty five people whom we had never met but who took the time to send love.  That still makes my mum's heart just melt.

Mum had a break for a while and then started to read other blogs and then comment.  Our angel sissy Kara and our cousin Tyler made a few appearances over that time.  Then dear sweet old Kara passed too and our family had no dogs at home.  Can you imagine.  No dogs.  Mum lasted a month and then Stella was welcomed into the family and two months after that Rory came home too.  Chaos reigned and blogging began in ernest.

My name is Stella and I have the face of an angel, bwahahahaha.

My name is Rory

and this is my bossy sister.

Over these last four and a half years we have made dear furriends and lost dear furriends too, but Blogville continues to support their community.  There is always someone to visit, someone to laugh with, someone to care for and someone who needs some extra love.  Blogville, you are amazing.  Everyone is welcome.  We will never forget how we felt surrounded by your love during some of our toughest times.  We hope we gave you some laughs too cause as mum tells us, we are lovable ratbags.

So HAPPY THANKS BLOGVILLE everybuddy.

NO WORRIES, AND SLOBBERY LOVE,
STELLA AND RORY

Howdy Mates.

Oh, poo, what's that smell.  Aw yeah.  Rory has his boots off.  Here's Rory's foot.  See how his pads have sort of grown hairy.  It makes them slippery and he doesn't like to walk on the lino but that's ok cause if you remember, we have carpet squares for him in a little path from the family room to the lounge room.  For the last two weeks, mum has given Rory's bad left foot, some air during the day when he's inside.  His nails have nearly grown back on the top but are sorta warped.  Under the nail where the "quick" is, they are still delicate butt, he can walk inside without them bleeding.  Yaahooo.

He is NEVER trusted cause he still chews his nails if he gets a chance.  We think maybe it's a habit.  Mum puts Vicks Vaporub on his nails so it smells yucky to him.

Lucky for us, he is 89 kgs (195 lbs) of pure laziness hehehe.

I, Stella, on the otherhand, being fat as butter fit as a fiddle, have decided I like to chase balls.
Here is my ball (well I have decided it's mine) that bounces really high and I love to run and chase it.  It makes me happy.

Sometimes, mum doesn't take the ball when I bring it to her and then I have to carry it around for about 87 hours
cause I don't want lazybones to get it.

Well I'm kinda tired now.  I always sleep under our dining room table nowadays, unless I get on Rory's new big bed and then he is too scared to make me get off, bwahahahaha.

Happy Thanksgiving to all our mates who celebrate it.
Hope your day is a good one.

No worries, and love, Stella, and Rory

Remembering the love.

Howdy Everybuddy.  Today it is five years since our angel Nana (mum's mum) passed away.  We never met her but have been told she was the best Nana and mum in our world.  We know other people have the best Nana and Mums too but here in our family, she was our absolute best.

Here she is holding our mum when she was a little bub.
Mum felt loved every day of her life.

On the day she passed away it was our eldest brother's birthday.  Here he is with Nana.
She loved her grandchildren with all her heart.

When mum had moved out of home, she would say to our dad "I've got to go and see mum" and he would say "why?" and she would say, "I don't know, I just have to".
Mum only lived around the corner so that made the visits easy :-)

Mum and Nana liked to share a glass of bubbly.
She is loved and missed every single day.

If you have your mum nearby,
go and give her a good cuddle, mates.
Take care and hope your weekend is a good one.

No worries, and love, Stella and Rory

Wordless Wednesday - Actually there are some words!

Hey sissy.  Do you think I could go on your train?

Sorry Rory, no dogs on trains here except Service Dogs.
Plus you're such a big baby, you'd miss your mum too much.

No worries, and love,
Stella and Rory
