Flashback Friday

Howdy Mates.  Here is a photo from last summer when we used to go walking along our summer track.  Mum says, one day, I might walk there again.

Stella speaks

Howdy Everybuddy.  We've been having a good week.  Lots of nice sunny winter days and with the thought that Spring is just around the corner.  Here's what we've been up to lately.

Here's our cousin Tyler.
He's training to be a Search Dog.
USAR (Urban Search and Rescue)
We are very proud of him as he is great at his job.  He does not wear this little cape while working though as it may catch on something while he is searching.

Here's my little brother and my sissy cat Penny.
Spoilt brats I say.

Penny just loves this spot on the kitchen window ledge.
Gross I know.
My dinner plate gets put on that rack after it's washed.
Mum says when you're nearly 15 you can sleep where you want.

I too love the sun and enjoy snoozing away an afternoon.

Here's Rory in a pair of new boots.  Mum has been feeding Rory and I sardines each day to see if it will help with Rory's joints and some rough spots he has on his elbows.  Many people have also mentioned Coconut Oil as a good additive.  Any opinions on that would be appreciated.

And here Rory realises who's the boss
when I take over his bed, ahahahaha.

Here's a couple of funnies for you.
Mum says the chocolate one is for the mums of Blogville.

Have a great weekend mates.
No worries, and love, Stella, and Rory

Grease is the word.

Howdy Mates

Just a quick note to say thanks for all your words of encouragement.  I had a wonderful night out with my girls.  We saw Grease the musical, on stage in Adelaide.  It was FABULOUS!

Howdy and an update.

Howdy Mates.  Just an update on what's happening over our way.  Mum is still bandaging my feet every two days and sometimes twice a day when it's wet and my boots get muddy.  Yes, I did chew a nail on my good foot but I have not chewed my feet/nails for about two months now :-)  Sometimes she sighs and looks sorta worn out but I'm a good boy and lay still while she washes and disinfects my toes, puts padding between my toes, wraps it in a big bandage and then puts my boot on top of that.    After all that, would you believe she gives me a huge hug and a treat.  It's the easy life for me mates.  Mum says my nails are slowly, very slowly starting to grow back.  See I virtually chewed them right off.  I know, I know, I'm a nut case for doing it but they felt funny and sorta numb and I didn't realise what I was doing.   My walking is still wobbly, probably more wobbly since "the feet eating incident" as we like to call it, cause I can't exercise my legs as much anymore cause if I do my toes start to bleed.  Do not worry though.  I am happy and loving life.   I still LOVE to bark at the Postman and anyone else who comes to the door.  I'm eating like a horse (hehe, get it, a horse, me, have ya got a saddle for that thing?).

See here we are enjoying the sun this morning.  You know how mum said I can't get on the lounge, well now I do and she doesn't care (well not much anyway hehe).

Our Dad has been on the sick list for the last nine weeks.  He has to have an operation on his neck/spine but we're not sure when yet.  He is ok, but not able to work and has to take tablets each day.  On the plus side he and mum are able to go out for coffee and cake.  A lot.  Mum loves coffee and cake hehe.  The Dr is arranging everything and we are waiting to hear from him.

When people ask how we're going mum says, we're "plonking along".  It's a good word.  Plonking - we think it means, "to get through each day as best you can when things are a bit rough".

So mates, take care and we'll visit when we can.

Morning Everybuddy

Howdy mates.  It's another wonderful sunny winter's day here in our part of Oz.  Here we are having our morning treat.  Every morning before breaky while mum is still trying to wake up with her first cuppa she gives us a chewy treat.

Stella likes to hide in the corner so I won't pinch hers.
As if I would even dare.  I know who's boss in this household.

Nom, nom, nom.

I don't know what the heck mum is on about.
I can't get on the new lounge??
Sure I can.  See.

Mum takes a photo of me while I'm waiting to go out for a morning wee.  Jeez she's game.  I've got a bladder the size of a football but I can only hold on for so long.
That flashy beast has a lot to answer for.

See ya mates and have a good weekend.
NO worries and slobber, Rory and Stella

Looking after the cousins.

Howdy Mates
We're looking after our cousins Tyler and Jinx
while their mums work.
Guess who likes our Penny cat just a little tooo much?

Jinx will sit for hours staring at the last place she saw Penny.

Yesterday it was predicted we would get snow in our Adelaide Hills but we just had heavy hail instead.  It looked like snow and was bloomin' cold.
Today we have 12C (53F) and fine so the sun puddles inside are lovely.  Have a great weekend mates.

No worries, and love, Stella and Rory
