Putting up the Christmas Tree Yahoo

Howdy Everybuddy, Stellie said its my turn to talk.  She has a sore neck, poor little girl.  We had our stitches out last Wednesday and everything was fine.  Then I thought I would help her neck by giving it a lick, then another, and another and now its gone really red and kinda sore.  Sorry Stellie.  I will try not to lick it again.  Mum has put some smelly Vicks Vapour Rub around the wound and I don't like that smell much at all.

Anyhoo to take our minds off that it was time to put our Christmas tree up and let me tell you, we were very excited.  This is our first Christmas and we didn't know what it was all about.

Mum was pretty smart aye?  Oh I will take some photos.
Can you vaccum?  My Dad is just fab.

What's this Dad?

Lights go on first.

I'm so excited, I just had to roll.

Try to ignore Mum's jim jams.  She is getting old and has to get ready for bed early.

Just a few more baubles.

 And a few more!

Mum, could it get any more exciting than this????

For the love of dog!  No-one told me this was part of the festivities.

 Oh no.  You too Tyler?

If I smile will you take it off Nana?  Please?

You silly doofus.  You're supposed to run away when the antlers come out.

Well, there it is.  Our Christmas tree.  We love it.

Just wanted to show you my mum's trifle.  She was feeling a bit sad the other day and my biggest sissy made her a trifle.  My angel Nana always made one for mum on her birthday so Sissy thought it might cheer mum up.  It did.  Thanks Sissy.  We love you heaps.

We also had a birthday cake for my big brother.   I think it was yum.  Everyone ate it all up but we couldn't try cause it had lots and lots of chocolate in it.  It looks pretty though.

Happy 25th Birthday big brother.

See you all soon.
No worries, and slobbery love, Rory (and Stellie)

Birds, Birthday and Nana

Hello Everybuddy, this is a bit of a mixture today.  First is our entry for Sarge's bird competition.

Flamingo at the Adelaide Zoo

Pelicans at the Adelaide Zoo

Adelaide Museum - Eagle (not sure what kind)

Galahs in Adelaide Museum

Pterodactyl sand sculpture (does this classify as a bird?)

Thanks Sarge for hosting such a fun competition.

Also today is my big brother Paul's birthday.  He is 25 and mum says she can't believe it.   Here he is with our angel Nana when he was about two weeks old. Happy Birthday Paul.  Love you heaps.

Today is also a very special day because it is two years since our Nana passed away.  It is a huge mixture of emotions for Mum.   This date of 22 November holds the memories of giving birth to a Son and also of losing a dear sweet mother.

Nana holding Mum

Mum, missing your dear sweet face.

If anyone has their Mum nearby, give them a hug and tell them its from Carol because I would love to put my arms around my dear mum today.

Have a great day everbuddy.

Super Saturday - My Little Brother

Hi Everybuddy, just wanted to show you all how much my little brother has grown since we first brought him home.  He's a little cutie isn't he.  I'm still the boss though of course.

This is the very first time we met.  He was a little scared and bewildered.  I whispered he was going to be just fine and I was his sissy.

Now look at him.
Mum, for crickey sake, just take the bloomin photo!

If that slobber falls on my head, you're a dead dog.

Stellie, I'm losing the will to live.
Suck it in princess.  Just keep looking at the camera.
Remember who dishes out the treats.

Ooh, was that the crackle of a chip packet?

Now we are all one big happy family.  The house smells like dog, dog toys everywhere and mum says if you find a dog hair on your plate, consider it a garnish.  Life is good.  Have a great weekend everybuddy.

No worries, and love, Stella, and Rory

P.S. from Carol, Stella's stitches are drying out really well and they will both have them out probably Monday or Tuesday.

No Worries Wednesday - Back to the Vets

Hi Everybuddy, we have been behaving wonderfully while recooperating at home.  The Vet said no serious romping around and we took no notice obeyed all the rules set down by mum.  Gosh we are just so good.

Now I don't know how or why but my tummy wound has a slight infection and I had to go and visit the Vet again with mum.  After me being held down in a vice like grip gently rolling onto my tummy, the Vet had a good old look and thought she would give me some antibiotics and anti inflamatories to take.

I love my Vet cause this means I get extra treats now to take my tablets with.  What?  Oh Rory you did not get extra treats too.  No you didn't cause I would know.  What?  In the pasta salad?  Bloomin heck.  Wait till I see Dad this arvo.  I'm the extremely sick one and no one else should be getting spoilt.  Huh.

Anyhoo here are some photos of my wound.  I can't wear a cone cause of my neck.  If anyone is squeemish, look away now and scroll down with your eyes shut.

Are you sure they want to see it Stellie?

Ok here goes.

Its not so bad.  Five stitches in my neck, four in my tummy.  I feel fine and am eating like a horse managing to eat a few mouthfuls of food.

Anyhoo enough of that silly business.  Here are some photos of a huge old gum tree that fell down the other day.  Its the second one in a couple of weeks, but this one was totally dead.  You can see a hole all the way through from the roots to the top.  Mum said it was amazing.

I'm so bored I have to chew my own leg for entertainment.

See you all next time.  We miss our buddy Tyler cause he can't come to visit till we get our stitches out.  We love ya buddy.  See ya soon.

With all this time on our paws, we got to wondering.  There has been some photos of big noses in blogland lately so whose nose does looks the biggest?   We think ours are pretty enormous too.

Hehehe.

Back from the Vets - No Worries

Hi Everybuddy, Stella here.  We are back from our trip to the Vets.  We are both really good and don't have to wear the cone of shame unless we lick our stitches too much.  I have tried a couple of times but with Mum, Dad, and all the kids watching us like hawks I don't have much chance do I?

I did feel pretty miserable when I got home.  Rory was his normal self.  Stellie, my bum's sore.  Rory, that's not your bum, mate.

I think I will just sit on a comfy lap to ease my sore bum.  Oh blimey Rory, its not your bum you plonker.   Well it feels sore down there so what else could it be?  Muuuuumm, Rory's being an idiot.

I don't want to play with my toys or chew my little bone.  I'll just sleep for a while.   Zzzzzzzzzzz

I'll just drool for a while.

Carol here, we got through the first night fine.  Pups were up at 6.15 am and absolutely full of beans.  I don't know how I am supposed to keep them quiet for the next 10 days.  Rory is back to his normal self and Stella, while still seeming a little sore, is ruling the roost.  Her tumour was removed and all is fine.  She has about five stitches in her neck and four in her tummy.  Rory has four on his testicles (or what's left of them, poor little fella). We go back in 10-14 days and have them removed.

They both ate like horses this morning and life goes on.

Have a great weekend everyone.  No worries, and love, Carol, Stella and Rory

Bert, these photos are for your hat competition.
Mum has made us look like fools, even though we are invalids!
