Aww, bless her heart.

Howdy Mates,

Bless mum's dear little heart.  She tries.  She really does.

Stellie, how long do you reckon they'll last?

Depends on how long it is before we help in the garden ahahahaha.

See ya mates.

Another Day at Dog School

Howdy Everybuddy

After mum was hypnotised by Otto we headed off to Dog School.  We love it and mum and dad are doing really well with their training.  Sometimes mum can be a bit slow but she's a pretty old girl so we have to give her some encouragement.

It was cold with a little sun.  We are both in Grade 6 now, the top level, and the next thing we can do is Trials.  We're not sure if we will continue with that or not.

Here we are sitting on the plank.  Luckily not walking the plank!

The obligatory sit, stay and more photos!

The tunnels of fun.

More sit, stay action shots.
C'mon mum, there's gotta be more than this to take photos of.

Now mum tries to be real sneaky and take our photos while doing a three minute drop stay.
I, Stella, had to run towards her to make sure she wasn't stealing all the treats out of our backpack.
Dad (who helps me with school) gave mum the stink eye hehehe.

Back in position, and our folks come back to us.
Geez, they are good.  We don't even have to call out "Hey Dad, get back here".  They just come when we blink at them, hehe.
Surprise, surprise, another sit, stay photo.
Mum is just so darn creative isn't she.

Well that's it folks.
Hope your weekend has been good.
No worries, and LOVE,
Stella and Rory

P.S.  From mum.  Although the dogs are doing well at school, Rory still gets excited when we meet other dogs and can be a boofhead with pulling etc. especially when we see other dogs out walking.  If they are on the other side of the road, he's fine, just if we have to walk past each other on the same footpath.  (Any suggestions gratefully accepted).  Not usually aggressive but just big and excitable.

In class he is great and ignores the other dogs even when we are doing very close work.  Today another dog at school 'had a go' at Stella during class (some growling/barking and lunging for no reason apparently).  Rory thought he would back her up, (he is very protective of her) BUTT, I managed to keep him under control and was very pleased with myself and they both settled within seconds and were back to lessons.  He's a big boy now but apart from occasional lapses when we meet new dogs, he is an absolute breeze to walk, loves people and I'm very proud of his achievements.  Stella has sailed through from the start as she is totally food oriented.  We are happy with their progress and they love school and we enjoy it too.  They aren't perfect, but they are perfect to us!

After learning about dear Benny's illness, it makes me appreciate every day with our two characters.  Take care everyone.  Give your dogs/cats/pets an extra cuddle today.

Help yourself to a lolly.

Howdy Mates.  Our sissy was given some lollies by a friend.  We thought they were fabo.  Does everybuddy remember Scooby-Doo?  Mum says when she was a little girl, way back in the olden days, there were similar lollies that said things like, "I love you", "Be mine" and stuffs like that.  Help yourself to some but don't forget to clean your teeth afterwards.

It's been wet and bloomin' cold.  Here we are walking along the summer track which should now be called the mud track.   Looks like I'm doing a pawstand hehe.

Mum says we're nuts to drink water from the puddles but we don't care.

We saw some kangaroo footprints the other day.  These pictures are from quite a while ago.  Mum never had her camera when we saw the recent footprints of the kangaroo and they were much clearer than these.  We actually see kangaroos on our walks sometimes but they always hop away very fast.  You would be amazed at the distance they cover and how fast they go when you see them up close.  We love our kangaroos.

When it's cold, Penny loves to curl up on the kids' beds.
Sometimes she sleeps there all day.

We have our own beds.  Mum says no dogs on the bed!  Humph.
Totally unfair we say.  Stellie can be a bit farty and me, well,
I have to admit, I fart quite a lot hehe, butt, is that a reason to ban us from the bed??

Keep warm or keep cool wherever you may be mates.
Have a good weekend.
No worries, and slobber, Rory and Stella

Mum gets the angry face.

Howdy Everybuddy

We had an interesting day yesterday at dog school.  We were running a little late cause there had been a serious vehicle accident not far from our house and we had to detour the long way around to get to the city.

When we get to school, mum and dad always walk us around an off leash park next to the oval we train on.  That's ok.  We stay on leash and mind our own business, have a wee and then go to the oval to train.

After mum sees us wee she needs to go too, but we have trained her well and she uses the public toilets hehe!  She walks about 20 metres from us and dad is holding Rory and I together.

Out of NOWHERE comes a lab, off lead, barking at us and running around us in circles.  Well I'm sorry to say we went OFF our nuts.  We yelled HBO words at him and dad had to use all his strength to hold us both.  Mum comes back straight away and yells to the dog to get away.  Meanwhile the owner is calling her dog to no avail and making no attempt to catch her dog.

Mum grabs him by the collar and drags him away and pushes him towards the owner and then he runs to her and they leave.  Phew.  Mum has steam coming out of her ears and you should have heard her HBO words.  Would have made a wharfie blush mates.

Here is what she looked like:

Anyhoo, we went to class and it was Rory's first time in Grade 6 and let me tell ya mates, he was fabo.  Whether it was the excitement beforehand or not we don't know but he was really good and mum was so proud of him.  I, of course, was fabo too hehe.

During the lesson we could see the off leash area and this stoopid lady and her poor dog were still causing mayhem.  We only hope she joins our school and learns to control her dog.  We gotta admit we aren't perfect BUTT our mum keeps us on lead in popular areas and we do behave ourselves.  We love the other dogs at school and don't have any problems with them.

Well that's our story.  Mum has calmed down.  Sorta.  She had a good old whinge to all the kids at home and that made her feel better.

Now she looks like this, but without the sunnies!!

See ya soon everybuddy and hope your weekend was a great one.

No worries, and love, Stella and Rory

P.S.  Maybe mum could have handled this better but it all happened real quick.  Mum wasn't mean to the other dog, just firm.  She also sent a few HBO words in our direction too, gulp!

Rory's a funny fella!

Howdy Everybuddy, here's my little brother Rory playing with his chewy bone.  He always plays with them but hardly ever chews them.  I always chew mine straight away.  Once he had a giant bone and flung it at mum.  I thought it was hilarious.  Mum just said, Ouch!  Hehehehe.

No worries, and love,
Stella and Rory
