Yaahooo - Footy is Back and Visitors

Howdy Everybuddy, yes it's that time of year again.  Footy season has started.  Yay!!  Better have a good feed before we go.

Hey Dad, I could do with a little more.

Here's the Best Team in the AFL competition.
Go you Crows!

Here's the best team in the South Australian competition.
Go you Redlegs!

Our brother James has a trial game today.  His team is Black and Gold and they are the Tigers.  They usually play one or two games before the season commences to get some match practice.  We might be going to watch.  Rory hasn't been to a footy game before.
Go you Tigers.

We have had a few unexpected visitors lately. Usually mum loves visitors but she seemed a little stressed when this lot turned up. Penny said she could help out.  Can you guess who?  Mum's new pyjamas are a hint.

Obviously Penny had something to do with this.

Hehehe.  Cats Rule!

We know why Penny has been the flavour of the month.  We have had mice coming inside.  Every year around Easter, probably cause of the colder weather, the little mice think they can live inside.

Now we think they are kinda cute to look at but when they make Mum have to clean out the WHOLE pantry cause she finds mouse poo in there, ewwwww, well that's it.  Little mice, you are fine outside but if you come inside, beware!  Mum goes crazy.

Sorry fellas, party is over!

On a serious note,
we would like to extend our sincere sympathy to all at the Quirky Quartet (formerly Trubblesome Trio) on dear little Ronnii passing to the Rainbow Bridge.  Run free little girl.

Love the ones you're with
Love Stella and Rory

  1. We are thinking that footie is soccer maybe? Or is it rugby? Whatever it is I hope your teams win!

We are very sad about Ronii too. She is running free.

  2. At first I was wondering what "footie" was then I scrolled on and was informed. Okay! I get it!

Rory...you are so tall that you could get into a lot of trouble with the food on the counters...oh boy that would have been the end of the chocolate cake I made this past week if you were here.

Yes, kitties are very helpful for the mice in the house so I hope you behave and let Penny do her job. Then mom won't scream randomly!

  5. Enjoy your footy season! We're gearing up for spring here, but it never gets as hot here as it does at your house. And Rory, I'm glad to see that while you can reach the counters, you seem to be minding your manners and not just helping yourself. Good boy. Is Stella reminding you to be mannerly?

  9. We asked momma and she said that footies are little socks that fit inside your shoes; they sometimes have pompons on the back. The White Dog Army is pretty sure that is NOT what you mean by Footy Season, but we hope you have an enjoyable one!

  11. Rory - you've been growing, haven't you. Already tall enough to inspect what the humans are doing on the bench/counter tops and you're not yet One!

Stella - is you kid bother tall enough now that you can slip under his body without him noticing? If not yet then it must be soon!

Carol - Yay to the Aussie Rules season, cos you can't leave those cricket fields without action over the cooler months. Just as long as the cricket pitches are protected - do you have the "lift-out cricket pitches" up there in S.A. Aussie land? Rugby Union is fully under way here. My dear parents follow Rugby League - I prefer Rugby Sevens as the players have such great bodies!!!!!!

Love and huggles to you all, Michelle

  12. Good luck to James with his game. Good work Penny, to bad you two did not get to help clean out the pantry, that would have been fun.

  13. Yay, Aussie Rules Football is back! We get to see one game a week here on one of our public tv networks, mHz. We'll be happy to root for the Crows. It's the only football we get until next Sept.

Rory, you should be about tall enough to drink out of the kitchen and bathroom sink faucets. Mama's bigger Danes loved to do that; they liked the fresh running water. And you've got months of growing still to do!

Mama feels the same way about mice, which also try to move into our house during our Fall. Mama is fine with mice outside, but she is ruthless if they try to move in with us. Hope Penny is on the job and your mum got all the holes plugged up.
