There's always next week and a question from Mum

Howdy Mates, it wasn't our turn to win (sniff, sniff)

Stella told me to dry my eyes, it's the start of the season and we have 22 more games to go before the finals.
We love ya Adelaide Crows!  Yaahoooooo!

No worries, and slobber, Rory and Stella

P.S.   Can I ask everyone for their thoughts.  Now that we have been blogging for quite a while and have made so many new friends, I feel constantly behind in commenting on blogs.  How does everyone else keep up with the daily news?  Thanks for your thoughts.  No worries, and love, Carol

We keep up with games and contests and stuffs by checking the Blogville Community Calendar.. Sarge runs that fur us.
It is HARD to keep thingys all caught up on. Sometimes we have holes to dig or stuffies to tear up. We just do what we can.

  2. Keeping up with comments is difficult. Have to admit that we skim through some of the longer posts and make a generic comment. Luckily, SHE doesn't work much any more and can get on more frequently. If we miss a post, we sometimes just read the latest. Cheating, we know, but it can be a couple of hours work to read and comment.

    Sorry for the long comment!

Love Rory's sad face. And it is early days.

  3. We try to hit as many as possible before 7:30 am when THEY leave for work, if they have time they try to review and then check through out the evening to catch up. However we don't always get all on our reader list!, It's hard because of all the furiends but we hope they understand, its not always possible.

  4. Google reader helps a lot although they are getting rid of it in July. You can now use feebly......it lets you read everything in one place..you don't have to visit each blog individually.

  6. Well as you know'ums our mama doesn't comment all the time. She does read all the time though...so that helps. Basically, comment when you feel the need or feel that you haven't been in touch lately and want to make sure your presence is known to your furiends. Other than that, read as you can and participate as you can. Our mama works on-line part-time and she knows the posts that will be long and those that will be short. Wordless Wednesday by far is the quickest and is usually just cute pictures. So...save the one's that you know will be long for when you have more time and then when you have little breaks now and again, run through the quicker ones.
    Much Luvums,

  7. Well, we're not that popular, so, sorry, no advice here! (snicker, snicker) I guess, just comment if/when you can. Visit some one week and others the next week?

  11. We are just the same. How people blog and comment everyday is beyond Mum & me! In all honesty we can go sometime without reading some blogs and sometimes we read but we don't comment. As others have said you can only do your best. We don't get offended if a friend doesn't stop by in a while and work on the assumtion that others feel the same. Paws crossed! Deccy x

  12. We get up a little earlier and pop round, a bit during lunch brake and a bit before shutting down in the evening. We try to get round as much as possible. You can only do your best. Sugar has the best idea as they cut and paste the same message and just add to it. That saves time typing out.
Have a super Saturday. (left click copy and paste)
    Best wishes Molly

  14. Oh Rory, you do look so sad my furend! We will wish them more luck for the next game.

Comments.... Well since my Mommy has insomnia that helps (well it helps the Blog's not her.) Sometimes tho there are just not enough hours in the day. But we always do check to see if anyone needs the POTP and always go there. Some times it is difficult to get around to everyone. I think that our Blogville furends understand.

    Hugs,
    Lily Belle

  15. Can I capture your question? I would like to know it too - I'm always behind too :o) I will cross my paws for your Crows... maybe they need a special cheerleader (ME!)?

  16. I agree with Lovable Lilly - Mom switched to Feedly as her blog reader and it let her know she has over 700 sources. We get behind too. Mom does read all the blogs, but when she is far behind she can't comment on all of them. She always does when encouragement is needed or a little loving, but sometimes she just has to let them go. We all understand.

Oh poor crows. Next time eh?

Being a newbie to blogland I am amazed already at how much it takes to keep up - but then I really only have limited time. I read all (at the moment) - I must admit that I am being very careful in choices though. ...are you flattered?8-} also, I don't always leave a comment. Only if really moved or affected. Or asked outright! Love your blog and I look forward to commenting often. Hugs and licks. YAM-aunty

  19. We (try) to read and do our comments in 2 shifts, morning and evening but sometimes if Mum has to go anywhere we do get a bit behind. Also, dashboard sometimes misses somebuddy's post out which we don't even know about.

  20. I know how you feel!! My peep was too busy this week so we are REALLY behind in reading posts... I think we're just going to have to skip some posts... :(

  21. Hi C, my dad tries to sign on as much as he can. My mom's pretty sh*tty about keeping in touch with things so it falls on my dad. Besides he just likes all the wonderful women he "meets" through these blogs. Yes, C you and your husband are welcome to come by for a drink. Bring Stella and Rory and anyone else you'd like too.

  22. I've been wanting to ask this question too because it almost feels overwhelming! We want to visit everyone and we try - so hard - but it's not always possible. If we get to our friends three times a week, it's a good week. We try for five but visiting at least 30 blogs a day is tough - especially with two little kids!

  23. I get to feel behind, too, but I keep up as best I can, and I know everyone else does the same. I wish we all had a few extra hours in each day, but things don't always work out that way. You guys shouldn't let Mum get upset if she doesn't have enough time; we all have to deal with the stuff out there in the real world!

    xoxo Marjie

  24. I try to keep up as best as I can, but I don't beat myself up over it if I can't comment all the time. I do try to do it daily, but sometimes life gets in the way and that doesn't happen. I usually give myself permission to let it slide over the weekend (plus I don't have a computer at home). I type and read fast, so that is a help.

Don't worry about it if you cannot keep up - we know you are here and we'll still stop by whenever we can! :)

  25. Wishing your team better luck. As for keeping up...like all real friends, we all know that life sometimes keeps us from stopping by every single day. We know you are here and care...our hearts are connected, after all!

  26. Hee! Hee! LOVE that first picture of Rory!

And oh Gosh - your human just asked the 6-million dollar question!! We've been blogging a long time now and are lucky to have quite a few friends - and keep getting new ones - but we feel guilty ALL the time that we just can't get round to everyone and keep up with their news. Especially during busy times like recently when we moved from Sydney to Perth...well, you know how rarely we commented here! We always feel so bad - like we're letting our friends down - and Hsin-Yi gets very stressy about it, even though people tell her not to worry and that blogging should be a fun thing, not a chore - but she feels especially bad if people have visited us & commented - but we haven't returned the gesture. She says it's like someone leaving a message and you not calling back!

We do use a reader - we used to use Google Reader but have now switched to a new one called Netvibes which is very similar (and much better, actually!) - but although that helps you keep track of new posts and read everything, it doesn't let you comment - you still have to visit each site individually to comment, which takes more time.

So I have to confess that now we "prioritise" - we alwyas visit the people who have been coming to comment on our posts a lot, first - because we feel that we owe it to them to "return their greeting" - and then whatever leftover time we have, we try ot get round to other people. IT's still really hard though and as you can see from our frequent messages apologising, we're always behind!! :-)

    Slobbers,
    Honey the Great Dane

  27. We beat ourselves up about it too. Since mum got the iPad she says typing and commenting is much harder as it constantly freezes up on mum! We feel guilty that we don't get around as much as we once did...... And we hate feeling that way so much. However - we are constantly blown away by those able to blog and comment so frequently.... It must take hours everyday! Even though mum doesn't work anymore she finds it hard to sit still in front of the big computer for any length of time and worries her lard butt will just keep getting bigger if she sits around too much. It's a quandary for sure.

  28. Whew...glad I am not the only one who feels like I am always behind....and I don't have that many comments to keep up with!
Rory nice to see you are a Great Dane also (can you tell me what that is...my mom tells me that several times a day...I think I should get a treat when she says it...because I get one when she says 'Good Boy'...so if I am a 'Great Dane'...I should get extra!

  29. Dry your eyes Rory you big gorgeous lad!

Oh your Mum asked a very good question, our Mum is super useless at keeping up to date and feels bad all the time about it!
