WTH can we call this post?

Howdy Everybuddy.  Don't worry it's fine.  We survived not having breakfast the other day.  Our mum's a pushover good mum and gave in to our constant demands sweet natures by letting us have some yoghart containers to lick out and some treats.

Now believe it or not, she's getting bossy again!  It started a few days ago.  We've actually had rain mates, and it's been cooler.  We like the rain but we don't like getting our feet wet and that is the problem.  I, Stella, have always liked to help mum out by pooing on the pavers next to the backdoor when it's wet.  I figure it helps that she doesn't have to walk far to collect it and I get to have dry feet.
 View from our back door.
The big bay leaf tree has been cut away
over the years and does give shelter from the rain.

Yes mum, I know I should come around this
corner and go on the grass.

Rory, being Mr Modesty, has gone behind the bay leaf tree all his life as he doesn't like to be watched while "doing his business".  Butt, after his embolism, while mum had to help hold up his 89 kg (195 lb) bum, she was happy when he pooed just off the back path, in front of the bay leaf tree, just as long as he did it there and not inside!!

So after he recovered and could walk again, he sometimes still did his business in front of the tree.  Mum thought, oh well, as least he can walk and get it done on his own.  Now though, since we've had wet weather, he is frightened of slipping on the ground and for a couple of days has pooed on the pavers too.  Mum was not impressed.

   Rory's spot, now getting slippery.

She says, it's back to the drawing board and we're going to get taken "down the back", wet or not, to do our business.  Sigh.  It's not fair.  Ok for her.  She gets a little room, inside the house and doesn't have to get her backside anywhere near wet cold grass.

So mates, it's Autumn here, cooler, wetter and bringing with it a whole new set of challenges hehe.

Here's us when mum was laying down the new rules.

Stellie, I'm just gonna make my legs look even wonkier so mum will feel sorry for me, hehehe.

Rory mate, it takes a lot to fool mum.

  See ya soon everybuddy.
No worries, and love, Stella and Rory

P.S.  Our cousin Tyler came through his tooth extraction
just fine.  He was quiet for a day and is now back to his cracker self.  Thanks for your good wishes for him.

  1. Wow, I had no idea that going for a poo could get so complicated….Thanks for enlightening me, mates.

  2. We agree quite a complicated procedure. I like to go in the park and only use the garden when I have to. Have a wonderful Wednesday.
    Best wishes Molly

  3. We do a weekly move routine here - one week we go east in the garden - the following week we go west....we just like to confuse Mom and give her lots of exercise

  4. We aren't super picky about pooing (although if I can find some tall grass or bushes I prefer a little modesty). Actually Abby is a completely indiscriminate poo-er; she has been known to poo in the middle of the street if the need arises. Mom seems to find that funny. Go figure!

  5. I agree with you, it can be a poo-blem sometimes. I mostly use my back yard, because I dislike to use public loo's. And when it is slippery and muddy outside I'm in big trouble to find a comfy spot. I'm glad your cousin feels better :o)

  8. We are GLAD that you got yogurt Snacks to tide you over until Supper time. AND we are glad that Tyler came through the Tooth stealing OK.
Now about this Pooping thingy... We think it is FINE to Poop ANYWHERE... as long as it is OUTSIDE... Not INSIDE like the crazy Peeps do. We say when SHE starts to Poop behind the tree... YOU will also.
She should be THANKFUL that you are saving all the muddy paw tracks in the house. This is just one more example of how Peeps do NOT appreciate our thinking and planning.
It is a Sad state of Affairs. Right? Stella, you and Rory just continue to Hold your Ground.

  9. Well, I think it's unfair that we don't get to choose where to poop, but they do! Oh well, as long as it's not in the house! Mmmm, you got yoghurt? Yummy, licking tubs is great! Aww, Rory, you look so funny and adorable with your legs like that!

hehehhehe, this reminded me dear old Jade - she hated getting her pawsies wet too and always stretched her backside as far as she could out over the verandah (towards the grass) without losing balance. It worked! It also meant I could clean it up by stretching from the verandah with the trowel and remain dry myself. Win-win for both of us! Hope you find your happy medium guys! 14. Hey sweet Rory and Stella....I, Madi, an honored to know I remind your mum of Angel Freckle!! Our first family pet was a mighty mini Doxie. He did not like to do his business in the rain...he was very stubborn...would stand on the sidewalk. Now if Mom held an umbrella over him he would step in the grass briefly but he was not getting his Doxie body and feets wet at the same time.
    Hugs madi your bfff

  15. Mom says she actually wouldn't mind if we went on the pavers in our because it is easier to find to clean up than when it gets buried in the grass:) Hope you all find a happy solution.

  23. We need to get a petition going and you will want to put your paws on it. The peeps have a special room in the house to poop so we should too! A nice grassy area near the television would be pawfect!

  24. It's always amusing to realize that you are just getting autumn when we are impatiently awaiting the arrival of spring and some green here! It got up to 62F today - woo hoo! Of course, we've had plenty of rain; that's how April goes around here. I hope you and Mum get all of your toilet issues worked out without you guys require her to "go" outside, too.

  25. Too bad you don't have snow. When I visit the snow, I will only go where it's really deep. That way when I squat down, nobody can see me doing my business :)
Maybe you should watch "Willy Wonkie legs and the chocolate (poo) factory" with your mom to make her lighten up :)

Hope the yard dries up a bit so you can poop in peace!

  28. Hey Rory and Stella,
I especially like to get mom up a couple time during the night - and stay out just long enough for her to give up and go back to sleep. Heh heh.
