Yaahoo to you. Mum has FINALLY decided to get off her lazy ar, er, bottom and let us post. I suppose, she has been a smidge busy. What with Rory eating his second foot, then it developed sores on the sides from the bandages and then poor Dad got sick, well, she's been running around like a chook with it's head cut off (sorry to any chook furriends reading).
It's been absolutely bloomin' cold and wet and even though we know we have to have winter, it's a pain in the butt. We don't like to go out and wee when it's cold. Well, who does I ask ya. Mum says she remembers the olden days when she was little and she lived with Nana and Poppa and they had an outside toilet. Can ya believe she remembers stuffs from sooooo long ago.
Anyhoo, we've been trying to keep warm as you can see from our photos. Sun puddles are a bonus and we make the most of them.
At night, our sissy covers us with blankies. It is so snuggly.
Our Dad is still on the sick list. He is having trouble with his spine/back and we are all looking after him. He is ok but needs some more time to get fixed.
Mum said she felt like she fell off her bike. Butt you know the old saying, when ya fall off ya bike, ya have ta get straight back on it and she says that's what she's done. Funny old girl she is, cause we haven't even seen her anywhere near a bike and doubt with her chicken legs, she could even ride one hehehe.
So mates, we're back and we'll try to catch up with you all. We've missed you all dearly and have felt lonely not catching up.
See ya and here's some lovin' for ya..........

and will post about it soon x x
Hi Stella & Rory
ReplyDeleteWelcome back and we look forward to hearing about your surprise :) We hope your dad continues to improve with your help. Milo & Jet
Oh goodness, all those sickies in your house! We're sending you some good mojo to chase those sickies far away.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Lily Belle & Muffin
My goodness - you are having a rough time at the moment and dealing with the cold too. Mom says her sissy who lives in South Australia says they had a dusting of snow in the Flinders Ranges....first time ever - my goodness!!! You know - we are pondering over whether Rory has nerve pain coming from his back that he feels in his feel. Kind of like that pinched nerve thing - where the nerve is pinched in one place but you feel the pain else where. A doggie chiropractor might help - but they are hard to find but maybe talk to the vet about a shot of cortisone to help?
ReplyDeleteWe've been thinking of you all. We hope Dad feels better soon and Rory - you have got to leave your paws alone!
ReplyDeleteMonty and Harlow
Stella and Rory! So happy to see you! We're sending you some HEAT from the Northern Hemisphere as well as good wishes and POTP for your dad!
ReplyDelete-Bart, Ruby and Otto
G'Day to you dear furends... WE are sooooooooo very sorry that your dad has an OWIE Back and that your paws are still giving you problems, Rory. We will send some POTP and Dachshund VIBES>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> to both of you.
ReplyDeleteOMD We truly FEEL fur you... when you talk about the COLD... WE hate it... and totally understand why you don't want to go Pee when it is FREEZING outside... many of our Down Under furends have been complaining about how miserable it has been fur all of you. We hope that it warms up a bit... and does it SOON.
NO WORRIES NO WORRIES

Chicken legs? Chook's head cut off? Are you insinuating your mum is an old boiler? Bwahaahaa! No, we really feel for her having to run around after everyone. We're having COLD, too. But Dui LOVES it! Out in the frost every morning BEFORE Sparrow's Fart chewing on old bones. Roxy is in front of the heater, and Bella can take it or leave it.
ReplyDeleteThe old chook, HER is never far from the heater...
XXXOOO Bella Roxy & Dui
We think Rory needs some advice on sun puddles, he seems to have MISSED that big one!

I've had spinal problems, and they are no fun! I hope your Dad is on the mend soon. And cut Mum some slack. Sick men are no fun, and I'm sure she's having a hard time of it.
ReplyDeleteDrop by and see Shannon's new dog, Natasha! She's almost as big as Rory!
xoxo Marjie
I'm sorry to read about your Dad--I hope that he and all of you mend quickly and feel better very soon!! Take care, and remember that you're being thought about in Virginia!!
ReplyDeleteOh boy oh boy, you're back. We've misses you. Hope everyone is better soon.
ReplyDeleteIt be a werld gone mad, I tell you. You has too much colds, we has too much hots, can we not just mix it togedder and split it back up so all be just right? Someday, when us dogs rule the werld, BOL.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry to hear that things have been so tough there. I hope your dad's spine feels better (I can relate!). And, I hope that Rory's paws heal. Sending you good thoughts.
ReplyDeleteCrikey .... you poor things!! Hope EVERYONE is feeling better soon. Rory!!!! The feet, mate ..... leave 'em alone, aye? If it's any consolation it's COLD here in Noosa, too. Mum reckons she's never felt it this cold here before. We went to the beach this arvo and it rained, big time, on us. Crikey it was cold!! I had to run like a mad thing to get warm. I can't even begin to imagine what it's like at your house. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!! Thanks for the lovin'!! Right back at you ....
ReplyDeleteWelcome back! Sorry to hear your dad's spine is hurting. My mom is home with me right now because she hurt her spine real badly also. What's with the spine thing?
ReplyDeleteHope your mom gets some "Mom time" to rebuild/refresh. It's hard being the caretaker.
Love the sun puddle picture!

Hiya Stella and Rory!
ReplyDeleteOh Rory, why did you eat your paw? I mean, I know it's really funny 'cus it moves, but really? Glad to see you're looking better anyways!
Aww, that photo of you all snuggled up looks so tempted, but it's getting pretty warm here, so I'd rather not right now!
Poor Dad, hope he gets better soon!
Have a super week,
Pippa :)
You know Rory I use to have a dog that would eat his foot too!!!! Yes I did!! It was Joker and I bandaged his one foot --then the other for 2 years!!!!! Finally found that he had a lazy thyroid!!!!!! After 2 weeks on his new meds no more chewing his foot!!! It was a bless those meds.
