Our mum left us.

Mates, this is the face of abandonment.
Yes, it's true, our mum left us.
For ages and ages.
Three whole days of no mum, sob, sniff, sniff, sob.

Stellie's face was smiling until she realised it was her last walk before mum abandoned us.

Then she did this for the next three days.

This face is not sobbing or sniffing.
This face is smiling and having a grand old time.
Notice the bags of shopping???

Mum galavanted around Melbourne with our sissy Laura, looking at stuffs like this (the view outside her window).

and this (the Melbourne Aquarium)

While we did more of this.
Our cousin Tyler was staying over the weekend mum abandoned us while his mum worked on the Ghan train.  Tyer is a full sized labrador, so you can see how big I am next to him.

Yes, mum and sissy shopped till they dropped and then they ate.  Muffins, cake and anything else they could lay their greedy little hands on.  Sigh.

Anyhoo, she is back.  We've made her pay mates, oh yes.  Early morning wake up calls, heaps of slobbery drool rubbed all over her, fighting for her attention.  Ha, yes, we've done it all.
Only problem is, she loved it.
Said she missed us sooooo much and well, we've forgiven her.
We love her too.
She had a wonderful time with sissy and we're actually glad.
Nothing like a weekend away to recharge the batteries and mum is full of energy now.  Well, sort of.  She's still lazy but hey, who are we to talk, bwahahaha.

Have a grreat weekend mates.
Here in our part of Oz it's bloomin' cold, wet and windy, so we're going to spend it snuggled indoors.
No worries, and slobber, Rory and Stella

  7. I guess it's ok if our mums leave us every once in a while, for a short period, so long as they are appropriately remorseful upon their return, and remember that we will be needing treats to make up for the abandonment.

  15. I think she went away just so you guys would appreciate her more! And sometimes Laura needs a little attention, too. It's cold here, too; it even snowed a bit yesterday! Bah! Humbug! Stay warm, you guys, and remind Mum why she loves to be home with you.

  18. Wow, how did you let your Mom get away? We always try to stay right under Mom's feet so she can't leave. She's a tricky one tho, she throws a treat across the room and when we run for it, she makes a mad dash for the door. Guess we too are not so good at keeping her home all the time!

We're glad she had a wonderful time away butt she knows "there's no place like home!"

    Hugs,

  20. I could see your suffering in those photos! I hope that you punished her really well for leaving you!

  21. Rory, you are HUGE compared to a Lab. Wowzers!

I'm glad that your mom had such a great few days (although I worried that those jaws were going to snarf her in one photo). I'm also glad that she's back and all is forgiven. Love conquers everything!

Happy Sunday! It's cold here too so you're not alone.

  22. Stella and Rory one burning question comes to my mind.....did your mum follow the letter of the law written in the Mum to pups handbook?
#1 rule: must ask for prior approval at least one month in advance!!
If not, there must be more slobbering and more wee hour wee wake up calls.
    Hugs madi your bfff
PS thank you for the info on the trains we will be reading about them on the interwebs today
    Hugs madi your bfffff

  23. An interesting discussion is worth comment. I think that you should write more on this topic, it might not be a taboo subject but generally people are not enough to speak on such topics. To the next. Cheers
