No Worries Wednesday - Back to the Vets

Hi Everybuddy, we have been behaving wonderfully while recooperating at home.  The Vet said no serious romping around and we took no notice obeyed all the rules set down by mum.  Gosh we are just so good.

Now I don't know how or why but my tummy wound has a slight infection and I had to go and visit the Vet again with mum.  After me being held down in a vice like grip gently rolling onto my tummy, the Vet had a good old look and thought she would give me some antibiotics and anti inflamatories to take.

I love my Vet cause this means I get extra treats now to take my tablets with.  What?  Oh Rory you did not get extra treats too.  No you didn't cause I would know.  What?  In the pasta salad?  Bloomin heck.  Wait till I see Dad this arvo.  I'm the extremely sick one and no one else should be getting spoilt.  Huh.

Anyhoo here are some photos of my wound.  I can't wear a cone cause of my neck.  If anyone is squeemish, look away now and scroll down with your eyes shut.

Are you sure they want to see it Stellie?

Ok here goes.

Its not so bad.  Five stitches in my neck, four in my tummy.  I feel fine and am eating like a horse managing to eat a few mouthfuls of food.

Anyhoo enough of that silly business.  Here are some photos of a huge old gum tree that fell down the other day.  Its the second one in a couple of weeks, but this one was totally dead.  You can see a hole all the way through from the roots to the top.  Mum said it was amazing.

I'm so bored I have to chew my own leg for entertainment.

See you all next time.  We miss our buddy Tyler cause he can't come to visit till we get our stitches out.  We love ya buddy.  See ya soon.

With all this time on our paws, we got to wondering.  There has been some photos of big noses in blogland lately so whose nose does looks the biggest?   We think ours are pretty enormous too.

Hehehe.

No worries, and love, Stella and Rory

  4. I think Rory wins the big nose department! Your tummy wound looks very much like mine did - mum thought the vet was "a bit rough" with the stitching but it healed a dream. Won't be long and the stitches will be out.

Glad to hear you are obeying all doctors orders!!

  5. I have some fab big nose photos! I'm also an expert on tummy wounds. Just before Mum got me I had an op for an umbilical hernia - pretty common in racing dogs. Anyhow it took AGES to heal and Mum was forever squirting me with antiseptic spray. I've just got a rather manly scar now! Deccy x p.s. I have to eat my legs sometimes too Rory...

  19. Oh, Stellie, we are so sorry you got an infection. Hope the aunty-biotics and the extra treats make it better soon. It would probably help if Rory would keep his feet out of your tummy :)

What made a hole in your tree? We've seen horizontal holes in trees, but never before a vertical hole all the way through a tree! You sure have interesting flora and fauna in Oz!
