My Big Slow Walk, and Slobber

Hi Everybuddy, on Sunday I went on a pretty big walk, but Mum and Dad were very careful and I was off lead the whole time.  I just plonked along after Stella and stopped whenever I wanted to.  It was heaps fun.  I only walked halfway and then my brother picked me up in his car.

Come on Mum and Dad, hurry up.

If you look at the undergrowth along the track
you will notice how dry everything is by the end of Summer.

Notice the manky big puddle on the right.
I ran through it a couple of walks ago.
I was stinky and slimy.  Bath time?  You betcha.

Nearly at the end.

Doesn't matter where you go, there's always someone
who doesn't care and litters.  Grrrrr.

More dry paddocks.

After Rory went home, on we walked.
Oh, wondering why I am on lead now?
Sorry, couldn't help myself.
Had to have a quick roll in some horse poo.  Mmmm.

Can somebody please help me?
I'm supposed to be a mascot.

 Eewwwww.  Rory!!!!!!!

See ya everybuddy.
No worries, and slobber (hehehe)

  2. Your summer walks look a lot like ours - slow and steady and any puddle is a welcome relief!

  3. The walk looks like lots of fun! I can see how dry it is, but it sure looks warm and sunny! We get very upset by people who litter, too. It's awful!

  7. Hi Stella Down Under!

Looks like a very nice kind of walkies to me, and especially with some fragrant things to roll in.

Your little mascot needs to find someone who is handy with a needle and thread. Like maybe your Mom!

    Kisses,

    Stella Up Over!

  22. Rory looks SO tall in those photos. It looks like a wonderful walk, made even better by the manky puddle and the horse poo for the dogs!

Hmm, "end of summer" - it's hard to imagine that we're really on opposite parts of the globe but I guess that we are!

  23. Imagine - slobbering on a "Crows" Teddy!!! RORY!!!!!

  24. Good thing Rory has taxi service at his command for these hot walks. And a nice mum who will run his teddy through the washing machine. Stella, you have real stamina - and chutzpah, to roll in horse poop even when your pawrents have you on your walking string.

  34. It's fun to go on a walk, especially when someone is waiting with the car so you can have a ride back when you're tired! We're approaching the end of winter here, although we have not really suffered this year. Hope you get plenty of rain soon! That's what always happens to us in autumn.

  35. I hope the rain comes soon, but that it doesn't flood!

  37. Off lead walks are the best.
But could you please explain what you mean by a 'dry' landscape? Those of us who have never been out of Scotland (well apart from the occasional venture into Northern England) don't quite understand the concept.....

  41. Hey there Stella, Rory and C,
You are right, it sure looks like a tinder box ready for a match. I didn't realise that it gets so dry where you live. Are you likely to get any more rain this year? Wow! Looks like you enjoyed your walk though. Remember, the more enjoyment - the more slobber! BTW, I loved your Valentine's post.
