Tuesday Tyler - He's gone ratty.

Howdy Mates, we've been taking things easy here.  Mum and Dad went away for a couple of days and left us home with the family.  That was fine by us.  They went to stay with our sissy and Tyler at a beach house.

Tyler had a great time.

This is him in the car.

On the way to the Vet.

Yep, our cousin thought eating a snack of Rat Bait was a good idea.  Bad idea Tyler, bad idea.  After an emergency dash of 190 kms (118 miles) to the nearest vet, he had the fun experience of having an injection to make him vomit, then tablets for the next 28 days and two blood tests over the next month to make sure his blood is clotting properly.  He seems fine with no ill effects.  Phew.  The lady who owned the beach house (and is a good friend of our sissy) did not know a relative of hers had put bait out.

Mum says she will be buying hair colour in bulk from now on!

When they all arrived home the heat was terrible so we just lolled around the house and took things easy.

No one wanted to play ball.

I practiced my "leave it" while watching Penny eat.  Sigh.
Her food smells so much better than ours.

Well, that's all for now folks.  Keep cool or warm wherever you are.
See ya soon.
No worries, and love, Stella and Rory

  1. Rat poison!!!! We're so glad it was caught in time, even if Tyler had to have some awful cures done to him!

We don't know how you're standing that heat. We've been lucky and only been in the mid to high 30s, and it's hot enough for us. Glad you got a bit of a break. This weather is nuts!

  13. WOW, now that's a major trip to the vets office, glad they got him fixed so quick. Nows here's a trick our peeps got from and emergency vet clinic. Bites ate that once and they gave him a half teaspoon of salt, in about two minutes up it came, whew that was nasty. You should check with you vet to see how much, it's kinda based on size and weight!

Can't believe no one would play ball, thats just not right!, Oh, and hope the big guy is doing OK!

  16. Oh, not good news.. A neighbour's cat (yes I have spelt that right ! ) drank anti freeze left on the road over the other side of the bridge a few months ago. Seems cats love the stuff... never knew that... bad outcome for the moggy.......... Keep away from free eatables guys.
