Howdy Everybuddy, it's me, Lenny. I've taken over the blog today to enter Sarge's Amazing Exotics competition. I, of course, think I am exotic. A lizard who can type? Say no more.
I am a Bearded Dragon who is 7 years old.
For the first year of my life the family thought I was a boy, butt no, I am a girl.
I like to eat fresh fruit and vegetables but my favourite is live crickets (sorry to any cricket bloggers!). Mum loves to hear them crunch (not really, it grosses her out). Mmmmmm, just like a cream chocolate but better.
Here is my home. I have a heat lamp all year round to keep me warm except if it is really, really hot then it gets turned off. I hybernate for 4-5 months of the year and do not eat or drink a thing in all that time. When I wake up I am very hungry!
Can you see my little ear holes?
I have one toe missing on my front right foot. I can't remember how this happened neither can my brother who owns me.
Every now and then I puff out my beard which is under my chin and I look big and scary.
I am around 30 cms long but when I first came home I was only about 12 cm.
I get taken out of my vivarium and run around the house. I climb my brother's leg and sit on his shoulder. I do not bite and my skin looks kinda prickly but is actually quite soft. I have to be very careful that my cat sissy Penny is locked outside cause she might want to eat me! Once when my angel sissy Kara was alive, she was sleeping and I climbed up and sat on her back. She woke up, looked at me, then went back to sleep. She was a wonderful sissy.
This is me when I was a little baby.
Stella and Rory like me and don't try to bite me. They just look at me in amazement cause I am so darn cool.
See ya later dudes.
No worries, and crickets
Lenny
