Wonderful Wednesday

Howdy Mates

I'm just over the moon.

Yes, you can't wipe the smile off my face.

I have passed Grade 5 at Obedience school.

Mum said, now all Stella and I have to do

is behave ourselves at home, and it will be perfect.

I haven't got the heart to tell her that's not gonna happen, hehehehehe.

In the doghouse.

Howdy Everybuddy, we're in the doghouse.

We had our Kongs with peanut butter.

BUTT, after we finished, we had a fight.

Mum won.

Hellllllp, for the love of dog, we're sorry mum.

It's just a load of bull.

We're good dogs, really we are mum.

I've been sucking up to mum by cleaning up the socks.

I've been sucking up to mum by, well, sitting like a doofer.

Penny sucks up all the time. Typical cat.

See ya mates.

I'm off to find some more socks.

P.S. from mum. They did have a fight. Lasted about 20 seconds and then I yelled and they broke apart and stood looking sheepish.

I booted them outside and they stood at the glass door for half an hour, begging to come in.

I relented of course.

Keeping Warm, Chocolate and a Funny

Howdy Everybuddy, it's starting to get cold around our place now and we try to keep warm as best we can. Sun puddles are good.

I thought I would pick the warmest end butt, phew, I thought I would keep warm on top of the rug.

Mum went shopping in the city. There was a chocolate display.

Mum said it was amazing and smelt soooo good.

Everything you see was made of chocolate.

The walls, the pictures, the model in front, the handbag,

the flowers and the table.

Anyhoo mates, thanks for your good wishes about the bushfire.

Now 'ears to a good weekend.

Howdy Everybuddy, four days ago we had a bushfire close to our home (about 20 kms away). It started last Thursday and burned through 650 hectares (1600 acres) of bushland and around homes. One home was destroyed but the CFS (Country Fire Service) managed to save many others. We think the CFS are absolutely amazing and wonderful because they are all VOLUNTEERS!

The photos below are from our backyard and we were keeping an eye on it for sure.

These photos are from the track where we go walking.

Water bombers (planes) were used along with 200 Firefighters from many different crews around our area. Thank goodness on Saturday night and Sunday morning we had heavy rain. Phew. We knew if the fire had been any closer and our home was in danger our plan is to evacuate immediately.

Anyhoo, Sunday morning everybuddy was feeling mighty relieved and so mum and dad took us for a walk. Oh yeah, they forgot to tell Rory and I it might rain while we were out. We were glad of the rain but it absolutely poured. We walked for half an hour then after waiting under a gum tree for a little while we walked back to the car and came home. Wet as a shag on a rock as they say.

Oh, that's right, wipe down the big baby first. The one with short hair who will dry in an instant. Me on the otherhand, the wettest one, the one covered in mud, oh no, don't worry about me, I'll wait........

And wait ........

Eventually I was dried off too. Hehehe, the funny thing is when I get wet I go cracker and on the summer track it was nice and slippery and muddy and Rory and I ran around bumping into mum and dad and getting them muddy too. It was hilarious. Well we thought so. Mum said if she fell in the mud we would get a boot up the backside. She wasn't wearing boots so we didn't know what the heck she was talking about.

Here is a photo of a little foal we see when we are walking. He was born about five or six weeks ago.
