Rory has a little operation.

Howdy Mates.  Yesterday my little brother had an operation.  I wondered what the heck was going on when mum forgot our breakfast.  I ran to the cupboard, ran to the bowl, over and over but to no avail.  No food.  No water either.  Rory didn't even seem to notice!

Anyhoo, around 8.30 am, mum takes Rory, heaves him into the back of dad's car (which he left home especially for this) and off they go.  Well mates, I gotta tell ya, I went cracker.  I'm never home alone.  I don't like it.  What if they don't ever come back????
Thank dawg, my sissy who has Tyler, brought him over to keep me company.  Cool.

Mum does come back but without Rory.  I again had to go cracker.  What was she thinking???  Leaving my little brother at the Vet????
I grilled her big time.   What were those Vets doing?
When was he coming home?
Was he getting treats there while I'm home starving to death?  Well yes, mum did give me breakfast when she got home but that's not the point.

Anyhoo, my brother had a big sleep there.  While he was sleeping (hey, that would be a good name for a movie, hehehe), they removed a big lump from his foot.  Turns out it was a massive skin flap sort of thingy, probably caused by trauma to his foot from his wonky walking.  Not a bad lump though, thank dawg.

He also had a pedicure cause his nails were pretty darn long and a teeth clean, which were all good.

About 4.00 pm mum brings the poor little man home.  He was still a bit woozy and they had to help him in with a towel under his belly, just like the old days.  He was very sad and couldn't do a thing for himself.  He snoozed for a few hours on his bed.
We managed to get a little food into him, he did his business outside (PHEW) had a little drink, and slept through the night.
This morning he is feeling better, can walk unaided again and had his tablets, no worries.

Yay, I'm glad my little brother's home.

Mum, I told Rory he can sit on the lounge while he watches TV ok?

Yep, life is as it should be.

 We love ya big fella.

Well that's all folks.  Oh yeah.  One more thing.
Dad borrowed our brother's car yesterday so mum could have his.
Yep, that's the day he hits a kangaroo on the way to work.
Luckily Dad is fine, but sadly the Roo died.
The car, well, that will cost a few dollars, but hey, that's life.
Enjoy every day mates.
We love you all to bits and pieces.
No worries, and LOVE,
Stella and Rory

Rory's 4th Birthday

Howdy Everybuddy, today is my little brother's birthday.  He is 4 years old and even though he is big I still have to take care of him.   I make sure he exercises his legs by running  ahead of him and making him chase me.  We roll around on the floor playing bitey face when he needs a rest.  I watch his food intake very carefully and he never leaves a thing in his bowl so I must be doing a good job.

We love this big fella so much.  He never complains about anything.  Well he does bark like a nut job whenever anyone comes to our house but hey, no one is perfect, hehe.  He's just a great big doofus that we love with all our hearts.  This is one of mum's favourite photos of them together.

Here he is after having a stroll at the oval.

  So Happy Birthday Rory.
We love ya to bits and pieces big fella.

These photos are before Rory's embolism when we would go walking together.  They are my favourites.

So mates, you know what this means.
Cake all around.  Feel free to help yourself.
No worries and love, Stella
and slobbery love, Rory

Vet visit for Rory

Howdy mates.  Today I went to the Vet.  You know how I slip over every now and then, well I have a pretty big haematoma on my bum cheek.  Mum thought it might need to be drained.  It doesn't bother me and it's not sore or anything.  Anyhoo, off we went with Stella cracking the you know whats, cause she was left home.

When we go to the Vets, mum always walks me around the car park and I get to say howdy to anybody that wants to say hello.  Believe me, I'm popular and always get some lovely pats.

Well Ms Prue calls me in and talks to mum and dad and gives me the once over.  She checked my bum cheek, all fine.  Not necessary to drain anything.  She also checked some lumps I have.  Some were fatty lumps and some were fluid filled cysts.  I've had these for a long time.  It's just me.  I don't care.  You can call me Lumpy if ya want.  Cool.

So to cut a long story short, Ms Prue thought I looked wonderful.  She thinks I'm walking pretty good for a wonky boy and I agree.  I do slip over every day but that's life.  Ya just gotta dust yourself off, have a shake and on ya go.

So mates, go on, get out there and love life.  Tell ya mum and dad I said you all need extra treats just because they love ya.

See ya dudes.

No worries, and slobbery love, Rory and Stellie

P.S.  Mum is giving me a new food with special oils and more natural stuffs and I have lost a few kilos cause it's better for my joints.  I now only weigh 88.4 kgs (194 lbs).

Rory and the motorbike.

Howdy Everybuddy, my Uncle Grae came to visit Sunday.  He has loved motorbikes all his life.  I wanted to go for a ride butt mum says until she can find a helmet to fit my head, I can't go, sigh. Mmmmm, I can feel the wind in my furs, ears flapping, jowls wobbling, slobber flying.  For the moment mates, i'll just have to dream on.

See ya soon mates.  No worries, and slobber, Rory (who ain't afraid of bikes or the noise they make) and Stella (who is!)

A walk on the weekend.

Howdy Mates, how ya all going?  We went for a walk on Sunday and we nearly had some blue sky.  Nearly.  Spring is just around the corner for us and we say, thank dog for that.  Here we are doing the usual sit/stay.  Sigh.  It's mum's favourite cause she never thought we would do it.

Here's me on the old tree trunk.  This tree fell down a few years ago and has a hole running right through the middle of it, lengthwise.  It must be good for little creatures to hide in.  Dad put me up on top just so mum could get a photo.  Sigh (again).  See what we have to put up with.

I must admit, I look very regal hehehehe.

Muuuuum, did I hear the crackle of a treat bag????

Rory, wait for me little brother.

This photo mum actually tried to be creative, butt, in some she had the sun behind us and our faces were all dark.  One day, mum says she will get a 'you beaut' camera and try to become a famous photographer!  Well, famous in our family at least hehe.

In these last photos, for some reason the grass has come out all artificial looking.  We don't know why.  This is the beauty we see around us as we walk along the summer track (which is a dirt road near our house).  We feel very lucky indeed.

See ya mates.  Have a wonderful Wednesday.
No worries, and love, Stella and Rory

Cold - You can have it.

Howdy Mates, as you know it's nearly the end of winter here.  We've all had a gut full.  Sick of the cold.  Sick of having to stand outside in the wind, hail and rain to have a wee.  Sick of it, I say, sick of it!

This is my unhappy face.

This is today's forcast.

Send us some warmth can ya please.  I know, I know, in a couple of months I'll be moaning about the heat but hey, I'm not perfect.  Nearly, but not quite hehe.

See ya soon mates.  No worries, and slobber, Rory (and Stella)

I Am Rory, hear me roar (sort of, hehe)

Howdy Mates, every Monday night, our local Fire Station checks their fire siren with a 30 second siren sound.  Each week, without fail, Rory joins in.  This is better if you can bigify it and turn up your sound.

  He's such a doofer.

Hope your week has been good so far.
No worries, and love, Carol

Dry your eyes Rory, I'm Back!

Howdy Mates, my sissy's gone and I can't find her.  Mum says she is having a pampering day.  I said what the heck for?

Muuuuuuum, what're you reading?
Can you read me a story too?   Muuuuuuuuum, can ya, please.

I'm so bored I have to lick the dusty table.  Sigh.

Muuuuuum?
Is it time yet?

Four hours later..............
Muuuuuuuuuuuuum, I want my Stellie back.

Howdy Rory, I'm back and raring to go.  I've had an absolutely fabo time and I'll tell you all about it.  Ok Stellie, wait for me.

It all started with the warm weather, dry grasses and heaps and heaps of prickles.  When I go walking and am allowed off lead, I always come home with nasty prickles.  Some are really thorny and very hard to pull out so mum always cuts them out.  Sometimes she has cut off/pulled out 50 - 100 in one go.  A total pain in the butt!

I usually look like this.  You can't tell by looking but my ears had quite a few "dreddies" and even though mum brushed me they just seem to appear.  Mind you she doesn't brush me every single day cause she is too lazy such a busy mum.

You can see how fluffy my feet and legs are and
under my belly is the same.

Well mates, here I am with my short furs.  It feels so cool and I feel lighter.  I feel quite wonderful actually.

Good to have ya back Sissy.  Good to be back Rory.  Hey, you didn't get any treats while I was gone did ya?

I can smell them you little buggar.
What was it, biscuit, fritz, cheese?
Just smile for the camera Stellie, hehehe.

See ya mates.
No worries, and slobber, Rory and Stella
