Bye Lenny - Don't forget to visit.

Howdy Mates, sob, sniff, sniff.  We're feeling sad cause our sissy Lenny has moved to the city.  Sniff, sniff.  It all started about two months ago.  Our big brother moved to the city to live.  Mum only just got her sh.., er, self together and now Lenny has moved out too.

Mum says, where does the time go.  You bring them home, all little and sweet and they depend on you for everything.

You teach them to eat their greens and be healthy.

Games are played.

 Hide and seek at Christmas.

We watched movies together.
Pirates of the Carribean - Capn Lenny Sparrow.

She brought friends home to visit.

 And then they grow up.

Find a world outside of the vivarium.

And before we knew it, we were saying goodbye.

Good bye Lenny, thanks for being a good sissy.

Bye Lenny, sorry I always stared at you.

Bye Lenny, I'm gonna miss you
especially your warm house, sob sob.

Mum, is she ever coming back?

See ya Lenny.  We'll come visit you soon.

Get me a tissue will ya Rory.
I've got something in my eye.

No worries, and love,
Stella and Rory

Yes, I am a Goodie Two Shoes

Howdy Mates.  Yesterday mum had a case of the miseries, so being the thoughtful and loving boy I am, I thought, what can I do to take her mind off things ........

I knew I had to start early.  For the last six months Stellie and I have been allowed to sleep in the family room or the lounge room, whichever we choose.  We used to get locked in the laundry cause we weren't quite to be trusted.  Especially Stellie, cause she is what mum calls a chewer.   You know, chewed off mum's zip on her sports jacket (her fault for being too lazy to put it away), chewed mum's thongs (not her undies, hehe, her flip flops?), chewed a corner of the bookcase (must have thought she was a beaver).  So, you get the picture.

Anyhoo, there I was lying on my bed, thinking, how the heck can I help mum.

What's that little fella up too?

Well I had a brilliant solution.  Even though I didn't want to, I did it anyway.  Three times.  Three piles of heave ho!  It looked quite artistic, I thought.  A nice yellow colour.  Unfortunately, it stained the carpet.  Yes, carpet.  I chose the carpet not the lino cause I knew it would take longer to clean up.  That is the kind of boy I am.  Always thinking of others.

Actually Penny joined in the cause too.  She sleeps in the laundry in her little bed.  She pooed on the floor.  Smelt great.  Mum had tears in her eyes.  Not from sadness, from the smell!

Stellie, didn't join in.  She just sucked up to mum, whispering in her ear that it was me and Penny.

Didn't work though.  Mum chucked us all outside.  In the cold.  I watched her through the door, cleaning on her hands and knees.  She looked anything but sad.  Job done!

Dont thank me, mum, it was my pleasure.

Take care mates and thanks for helping mum yesterday.  Your comments made her feel so much better.

No worries, and slobber, Rory (Goodie Two Shoes)
and Stella (not quite as good)!

Carol's memories..

Hi All, this is a post just for me.  It's one year since my dear dad passed away.  He was 86 years old, healthy and lived life to the full but I wanted more time with him.

It's been a  hard year full of sadness, tears but also happy memories. I miss him so very much.  He was a devoted family man and he made me feel special.  There is no love like the love of a father.

I like to think of dad and mum together now.  Here's a song by Colin Hay.  He wrote it about his own father.  If you have time listen and enjoy.  If your dad is still with you, go and visit and give him a hug from me.  I miss my dad's hugs.  Carol

Breakfast - the most important meal of the day.

Good morning mum.  Is it time for breakfast?

What do ya mean, you need a cuppa first???

Stink eye Rory, give her the stink eye!

Every darn morning, mum ALWAYS has to have her cuppa before she can function.  Sheesh.
Soft, we tell ya, she's soft.

Tell us mates, do you get fed as soon as you get up?

No worries (well if we ever get fed it will be) and love,
Stella and Rory

A parcel from Aunty ML, Jed and Abby

Howdy Everybuddy

Today our Postie lady brought us a FABULOUS and WONDERFUL present all the way from Merrylands,
You Ess Aye!  It was from our Aunty ML, Jed and Abby our dear friends whom we met through Blogville.  They don't have a blog butt, read and catch up with friends when they can.

We went cracker at the door, waiting for mum to sign and bring the parcel inside.  Hurry up woman, for gosh sakes.  At last, after about 87 hours of chatting, she FINALLY comes inside.

The box was amazing and we could smell Jed and Abby on it.

Rory, get up mate.  Take a look in here quick!

Hey mum, I think that one's for you!

Pink paper, my very favourite colour in the whole wide world.

Sissy, help me, open it please?

Cause I'm the big sissy, I can open my own.

Sissy, is that my very own frisbee???
Oh my gosh, I'll be just like Fiona and Abby.

A ball with a map of the world on it.  It bounces really good and mum can put food inside too!
 My very own monkey.

This one had Stellie's name on it.
It's a squeaky crocodile.

And guess what???
Mum got a present too!  She was THRILLED!!!!!
This gorgeous tapestry pillow with a handsome
Great Dane on it.
Mum LOVES it.

Stellie said we must share MY toys BUTT, this is her most favourite crocodile ever and is NOT to be shared!
I said, No Worries sissy.  When your eyes glow like that.
I'm not arguing!

Mum also received a beautiful card, a coaster for her cuppa that smells devine when you rest a hot cup on it.  It smells like cinnamon and spices, mmmmmm.  And a jar opener with dogs on it.  Mum really needed this cause her thumbs are getting a bit dodgy as she gets older.  Oh, hehe, no mum, you're not old.
Well, not like ancient, just a bit old, gulp.

Aunty ML, remembered Penny and she got a little shark and you put catnip inside it.

And my Dad got a present too!  Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Dad felt very special.

Mates, we have been spoilt rotten.  We can't thank Aunty ML, Jed and Abby enough.  Mum received a card and the words are so lovely.  We think they apply to our friendships all over Blogville and we especially know they are so very true with our dear mates from Merrylands, Aunty ML, Jed and Abby.

Thank you so much for our birthday gifts.
We loved every one of them.
Sending you 87 thousand slobbery kisses and 87 thousand hugs too!

YAAHOOOOOO!

No worries, and slobber, and LOVE
