Then it was my turn. Mum found a lump on my neck about a week ago and it has gotten bigger. Miss Anna had a good look and felt it all around and said I have a tumour. It is a Histiocytoma. She is virtually certain it is a benign tumour that some young dogs get. Miss Anna said they sometimes go away themselves, or they can be cut out.
Here is a photo of my ouchie. I bumped it an hour ago and it bled a little but it didn't hurt me. I didn't even know. Mum gave me cuddles and cleaned me up.
Miss Anna is the best Vet in the world (well in our part of the world anyway). We love her to bits and trust her 100%. She helped our angel sissy Kara to the Rainbow Bridge and Mum says her compassion and dedication for the animals she cares for is outstanding.
Over the next three weeks we will monitor my ouchie. If it changes or gets bigger I will go straight back. Otherwise in three weeks Rory and I are going to be de-sexed. At the same time I will have my ouchie cut out. I hope it doesn't hurt. Mum says it definitely will not cause I will be having a good sleep and won't feel a thing. Mum says we will both be together, will have a little sleep with Miss Anna and then come home. We might have a sore spot but this will pass and mum says she will spoil us rotten. Yay. That sounds good to us.
Anyhoo, after that bloomin' ol news, we had our first play in our back paddock. My brother had to whipper snipper the long grass. We need a ride on mower, but lack of the paper money can be a bummer (woops, mum says I musn't swear). It was heaps fun and we ran and ran. Even Rory.
A doggie across the paddock barked and wanted to come and play. You have to look carefully and bigify near the middle behind the sheep. We totally ignored the sheep but they are friendly fellows.
After all that, we only had the energy to do this.
Last but not least, Rory sends this photo for everyone celebrating Halloween.
Well bye for now. Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend.
No worries, and love, Stella and Rory
Your paddock looks like great fun to run around!
ReplyDeleteHope the Vet is right about your lump Stella...
Take care
Deccy x
I hope your owie is OK. Sometimes doggies get pimples that grow and grow and then they need to be drained or removed. Having it on your neck is challenging because if you need a conehead it might interfere. I am wishing you both an uneventful trip to the vet.
ReplyDeleteSlobbers,
Mango
What a great place to romp! I kind of like all the tall grass :D You could play a good game of hide and seek in there ;) So good you have a vet you like and trust. Glad your bump is just a bump and will get removed soon so it doesn't annoy ya Stella :)
ReplyDeleteGreat Howl-o-ween shot of you Rory!
Waggin at ya,
Roo
Wow, I'm sorry about your ouchie! I'm sending some healing vibes just to be sure it is okay. I'm sure your dogtor will take perfect care of everyone and your little surgeries will be a piece of cake...say, cake would be a great treat afterwards! BOL Love your play yard.

Awwwwww I am so very much sorry that you have that owie... butt I'm bettin that it is one of those that will go away all on its own.
ReplyDeleteI will keep my paws crossed that you have an easy time of getting your SEXectomies. It isn't as bad as gettin a Baff... So.. now worries.. I'm just sayin.
Our yard is the same way, cause we don't have a lawn mower!! Tom Bush hogs our yard with a tractor. But not until you can hardly walk out there!!!LOL
ReplyDeleteHope the bobo heals up real good and you don't have to have it taken off!!
xx, Fern & Happy
Poor Stella! I hope that ouchie goes away on its own or at least doesnt get bigger!
ReplyDeleteThat doesnt look like a very comfy sleeping position! hehehe
We would love to have a big paddock like that to run and play and have lots of fun.
ReplyDeleteWe hope your ouchie is no big deal and all is well after the big desexing surgeries. Lightning is going to be neutered next week, but he doesn't know that yet:)

ReplyDeleteMight as well get it over with.
WE loved the pictures of you playing in the paddock but for a second or two My Vickie thought Rory was a kangaroo in the 9th picture down.
We laughed.....
You look so cute sleeping. Totally relaxed.
Thanks for the kind words about Jamie

Your vet sounds as fabulous as our Dr. Julia! We just are so happy knowing you are in such gifted, giving hands. The owie and the other stuff will go smoothly without a worry but we will be sending healing energy the entire time.
ReplyDeleteYour paddock looks like such a fun place to play.
Hi Stella - so you have an owchie too - I got over mine and it's all good now! Watch out for the plastic cones that you two will have to wear after your perations!! make sure that your peeps do a lot of head scratchin' for you coz you will not be able to do it! Sorry in advance.

Hi Stella.... we're glad you're going to get your ouchie taken care of.... that de-sexing thing... am not sure about that. I had that done too and don't even remember, so I'm sure it's nothing to worry about.
ReplyDeleteI love the pictures you posted... So beautiful.
pawhugs, Max
Hi Stella and Rory, I'm sorry to hear about your ouchie. Both my brother and I have one or two of those things. My vet calls them lipomas. We've had them check out by Dr. Janice and they've been just fatty deposits, nothing more sinister than that. although we keep an eye on them anyhow. We hope that everything will be okay.
ReplyDeleteI hope your owwie gets all better soon!

Oh Stella! I'm so sorry to hear about the lump on your neck!! But as someone who recently also had a lump on my neck removed too - I can tell you that it doesn't hurt at all and you barely even notice what happened when you wake up again! :-) (well, other than having a weird little shaved patch on your neck which does ruin a girl's looks a bit...) - I'm sure that the lump will be benign, especially with your young age, but I will be keeping you in my thoughts and hope that it remains stable until you can go to get it cut out!
ReplyDeleteSLobbers,
Honey the Great Dane
Stella, we're so sorry to hear about your lump. We're glad your mom is taking good care of it, and of you. Looks like your cushions are no longer big enough for the two of you! Although Abby likes to lie half off the bed a lot, too.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic and huge yard you have to run and play and hide in! Are you never tempted to chase the sheep, or is there a fence keeping you apart?
Jed & Abby
We hope your ouchie is going to be a-okay! Good thing you both had a fun romp - since you'll have to be kinda quiet for a few days after the, um, desexing, thingy!
ReplyDeleteTake care!
The Road Dogs
You all keep running like that and making yourselves sleep, Miss Anna won't has to make you sleep fur your operashuns!
ReplyDeleteOh yall just get cuter and cuter every day :)
ReplyDeleteIm sorry for your ouchie on your neck, that is common on doggies - Haylie had one and it got removed and she was spoiled afterwards :)
Im glad you love your vet.
Your backyard is beautiful!
Happy Halloween
You what I forgot to do??? Wish you a happy Halloween , YES!!!! Have a good one dear friends!!!
ReplyDeletexx, Fern
I hope that your ouchie doesn't hurt... and that it's just a benign little lump.
ReplyDeleteSorry that you and your brother have to go to the vet for a nap. I hope that you both wake up with no pain at all.
In the meantime, it looks like you are having tons of fun in the sun!
Stella and Wowy

Rory, you're just getting bigger and bigger! Absolutely perfect! Stella, I hope your ouchie is just fine! Enjoy running around in the paddock. And Thor's boys say riding mowers are over-rated, because they require time to be taken away from playing with dogs, feeding dogs, and napping!
ReplyDeletexoxo Marjie
Our Bentley had a histiocytoma just above his nose. The thing grew very fast and we had it removed. It never came back and he was fine afterwards.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you two had a great run and tired yourselves out. I'll bet your Mom had a nice quiet evening after that.
Oh by the way, try sleeping with your whole body on the bed. It's much more comfy that way.
Morgan, Tsar and the Porties
We hope your tumor shrinks to nothing! Rory is such a handsome fellow. Looks like you had a blast running in the tall grass. You kinda disappeared there. hehe.
