I knew I had to start early. For the last six months Stellie and I have been allowed to sleep in the family room or the lounge room, whichever we choose. We used to get locked in the laundry cause we weren't quite to be trusted. Especially Stellie, cause she is what mum calls a chewer. You know, chewed off mum's zip on her sports jacket (her fault for being too lazy to put it away), chewed mum's thongs (not her undies, hehe, her flip flops?), chewed a corner of the bookcase (must have thought she was a beaver). So, you get the picture.
Anyhoo, there I was lying on my bed, thinking, how the heck can I help mum.
What's that little fella up too?
Well I had a brilliant solution. Even though I didn't want to, I did it anyway. Three times. Three piles of heave ho! It looked quite artistic, I thought. A nice yellow colour. Unfortunately, it stained the carpet. Yes, carpet. I chose the carpet not the lino cause I knew it would take longer to clean up. That is the kind of boy I am. Always thinking of others.
Actually Penny joined in the cause too. She sleeps in the laundry in her little bed. She pooed on the floor. Smelt great. Mum had tears in her eyes. Not from sadness, from the smell!
Stellie, didn't join in. She just sucked up to mum, whispering in her ear that it was me and Penny.
Didn't work though. Mum chucked us all outside. In the cold. I watched her through the door, cleaning on her hands and knees. She looked anything but sad. Job done!
Dont thank me, mum, it was my pleasure.
Take care mates and thanks for helping mum yesterday. Your comments made her feel so much better.
No worries, and slobber, Rory (Goodie Two Shoes)

ReplyDelete...okay I admit it, dunno whether to laugh along with you pooches...or cry along with Carol. Okay, so there was a bit of tears of laughter thing going on over here - but it's raining so hard, no one noticed.
Hugs and wags all round!! YAM-aunty xxx
We don't know if having an angry mom is better than a sad one...just sayin'
ReplyDeleteUh oh! We don't know what to say. It was cold here last night and yesterday. Looks like laundry room for you guys....but Penny better stay outside!
ReplyDeleteXXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy
Well that took her mind off things...hope you are feeling better
ReplyDeleteUh-oh...!!
ReplyDeleteI've often wondered why there are sometimes multiple messes in the house, and now you have helped to solve that mystery--Who knew they just wanted to help me out! :-)!!!
ReplyDeleteWe have never seen anything more considerate! Your mum must have been thrilled with the extra work to help her concentrate. It's just a pity Stella was such a snitch, BOL.
ReplyDeleteWe always throw up on the carpet - except for Dip who insists on throwing up on the sofa cushions, ahhh happy times.
Dip Bridge and Elliot x
We can almost see that halo surrounding your pretty blonde head, Stella! Your poor mum!
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots♥
Mitch and Molly
LOL now that was one way of making mum feel better. Pawsome job Rory. Wow and you made sure mum got some exercise too. Way to go. Have a serene Sunday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
Well, that certainly mixed it up a bit at your house! BOL! Hope everyone is feeling a bit better today.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you are such a good guy, Rory. Maybe your mom could use a clothes peg for her nose when she is a "minesweeper"?
ReplyDeleteSometimes the peeps don't appreciate the efforts we make in creating our "art" projects. But Stellie TOLD on you? Now that is just not right!
ReplyDeleteYour Pals,
Murphy & Stanley
Rory...buddy...you are ALL HEART!! WOW!! And getting your sister cat to join in...we are barkless!
ReplyDeleteHey Mr Goodie Two Shoes, couldn't you and Penny think of better places, like doing the piles of heave ho and smelly poo outside so Mum could step in them... that'd take her mind of things too :-)
ReplyDeleteOh Rory. What a considerate guy you are. Our R is considerate the same way. He always aims for the rug, rather than the hardwood floor. I'm glad that you helped Stellie seem like the family star!
ReplyDeleteYou are a very sweet guy!

Sometimes when our MOM'S are in another world contemplating stuff we just need to bring them back into the REAL world and if poops and pukes does it, well more power to ya!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat Job
stella rose
How incredibly thoughtful of you!
ReplyDeleteNice work! I'll have to remember these tips the next time my assistant is down in the dumps.
ReplyDeleteYour pal, Pip
We pushed and prodded and got mama back to the big computer - a rare event these days. [Laptop still on the DL]. What a tough anniversary for your mum, but her dad will always be with her in her heart and her spirit.
ReplyDeleteHope Rory's tummy is better. What did you get into, Rory, to cause such a disturbance in the Force? Is anything missing from the lounge? Maybe Penny also grabbed a nibble and it upset her tummy, too?
We always throw up on the rugs, too. Keeps the liquid goo, if any, from spreading to our tootsies as we hurl. Don't know why it makes mama extra mad when we choose the rug over the bare floor; it's a totally rational decision, as any doggie or kitteh knows.
Oh Stella & Rory - we're FINALLY catching up on your blog and I can't believe this story!! You're making it up, right? Your poor Mum!! Well, I suppose at least you took her mind off things...but maybe you could have thought of another way that didn't involve "poo"! Hee! Hee!
ReplyDeleteAnyway, Glad to see that you're all well. And Hsin-Yi wants to send a belated hug to your Mum - we're sorry we didn't see her post about her Dad sooner. It must be so hard for her - we hope she's feeling a bit better.
Slobbers,
Honey the Great Dane
