A fallen tree adventure

Howdy everybuddy.  We were all set to tell you about our being abandoned by our mum and dad when we had some excitement on our summer track where we walk.  Who cares about mum and dad's holiday anyhoo.  We weren't there so the photos are boring.  We'll show you next time just to keep mum happy.

This huge old gum (eucalyptus) tree fell right over the track, covering the whole road.  We've had lots of rain, and strong wind  (no not from my bottom!) hehe.  This is what we found yesterday.

How can we get through?

I went over on the way down the track.

The way back up was a different matter.
Daaaaad?  Daaaaad!

This way dad.  Stella, it's easy.

Yep, Stellie got under, no worries.

I tried to get over.

And tried.

Hehe, seem to be having a little trouble here.

Dad, this is not time for Irish dancing.

Er, you aren't leaving me are you?

Mum, I can't do it.

 I'm scared.  Noooooooo.

 Wait for me, waaaaaaait.

I'm coming, wait for me, waaaaaait.
 Phew.  Made it.

I am not a baby.  I'm not.

Even though I was worried I would be stuck there forever, I made it.  Mum says I was very clever cause with my longs legs it was hard to climb past the tree.  We don't know how long it will be like this cause this road/track is closed to traffic.  We'll have to be extra careful once the snakes start coming out of hybernation that's for sure.  See ya soon mates with mum's boring old, dogless holiday snaps.

No worries, and slobber,
Rory (who can't climb trees) and Stella (who can).

  9. That's a huge tree! No wonder Rory was having problems.

We haven't had as much wind and rain as you guys. We just had enough to make everyone happy.

  10. We lost our power last week because of a tree down across the road. And poor Ryan was out at work when it came down, so he had to park at the town hall and walk the half mile home! He had to walk a long way around the tree, too. I hope those snakes don't bother you much.

OMDs we are so glad the tree was no where near your home...you were certainly in a predicament....too many branches to get a running leap, too tall to get under. Genius that you are though you made it....you are a talented Dane for sure.
    Speaking of winds
    As the pirates say
Fair winds (good bye, good luck)

  16. Snakes? Ah no thanks. Your mom wanted to know if Debbie could pull all three of us in a wagon. Well Rory's kind of big so we'll have to get him his own wagon but I have 3 different dog walkers, so we'll just get two to come by the day you're in town and we'll go for a ride together. My dad will cover all treats. Bison jerky and liver anyone?

  28. Well, at least it hasn't stopped you two getting a good walk and adventure! Oh, Rory, I was scared for a minute you'd be stranded on the other side of the tree and left to the snakes!
