As you know, we became grandparents to the beautiful Evie on 21st December 2015. She has melted our hearts and the whole family is besotted with her. Two weeks ago she was diagnosed with hip dysplasia and has to wear a brace around her legs which connects with a metal bar which runs behind her back/hips to keep her legs at an angle to correct the problem. Also she has had both feet plastered to correct their positioning. Poor little bub has been unsettled but is doing ok. Hopefully if all goes well she will have this removed in eight weeks.
(Can we ask dear friends not to share this photo, thanks).
Also Stella has suffered bladder stones and had surgery Wednesday but is recovering very well. She is wearing the cone of shame but being the cheeky rascal she is, it hasn't stopped her eating and bossing Rory around.
Here she is with Tyler.
Rory wonders why he has gone grey and Stella hasn't hehe.
We've had more exciting news as well. Our son and his fiance are expecting their first baby in early August and are getting married in March this year so we are all over the moon about their news.
So mates, we will continue to visit when we can, we may not post, but we will visit and say howdy. Rory is going along pretty well. Wonky and fabulous, that's him. I can't believe they will both be five this year. Where has the time gone since they were pups.
As we always say,
No worries, and LOVE, Carol, Stella and Rory
Congratulations! It's all happening there. Our cousin (her nephew) had the same problem and he walks beautifully now. Good to hear from you.
ReplyDeleteHowdy mates. That is good to hear about your cousin! Thanks for that. Xx

ReplyDeleteWhat a beauty Evie is! We are sending lots of AireZen and healing vibes for Evie and for you too, Stella!
ReplyDeleteRory you can use that magic potion my dad once used as he discovered some gray fur on his head. it gives you the natural fur color back - in theory... for real you will look orange-black then... but hey maybe then the people think you are a tiger?
ReplyDeleteAll the best to your humans and your sister... and 87 hugs!

ReplyDelete2016 is bringing lots of fine things, with those little less than fine things which make the fine things even finer... can't really ask for more than that eh?! Blessings to you all, with hugs and a few wags, YAM (aunty) xxx
Good to hear from you. You've been having a busy time for sure. We do hope wee Evie's hip dysplasia is put to rights with that horrid looking brace thingie. Tough luck on Stella too for having to have an operation. Rory, stay fabulous! Let's hope things work out all round for all of you this year.
ReplyDeleteToodle pip!

Poor baby, my sister had a similar issue when she was born. She was in casts for most of the first two years of her life. But they have come a long way in treating these congenital conditions.
ReplyDeleteHi Carol... Lana here...
ReplyDeleteI know that looks uncomfortable for little Evie... but let me tell you... I taught a boy who had had the SAME thing and by the time he got to my Second Grade there were no signs it had ever happened... and he went on to play High School and College Sports... and is Now serving in the Army...
OH MY.... how exciting a Wedding and another baby!

Pee Ess - That picture will probably get logged into the Internet so you might just want to remove it in a day or two in hopes of reducing the odds.
Ohhh, your grandaughter is adorable!
ReplyDeleteHope everything goes well in 8 weeks when she has the brace removed.
Poor Stella, we are sending POTP for her.
Congrats on your future grandchild too, hooray!

Look at that sweet Evie - what a little doll!!! We hope her corrective brace does the trick so she can run and romp freely. Please give her some sweet kisses from us. Stella, sorry to hear about those stones - feel better, pal. And Rory, the grey just makes you look more regal.

Baby Evie is beautiful! I'm sure she is unhappy in her leg casts, but soon it will be over. I'm sure she's a cuddly little girl and you are enjoying her immensely! I hope Stella is feeling better soon, and that Rory stays wonky and healthy! Hard to believe they are both 5!
ReplyDeleteHope everything goes well for you, and we will see you whenever you have time.
xoxo Marjie

ReplyDeleteCrikey ..... how beautiful is Evie?? AND there's another little peep on the way AND a wedding. Busy, busy, busy at your house, aye??? Little Evie will be fine. My Mum had a little bloke living with her for a while with the same problem. He's running around like a crazy person now. Wouldn't know there was anything, EVER, wrong with him.
ReplyDeleteGet well soon Stella and don't worry about a few grey hairs, Rory. They make you look very distinguished, mate!!
Evie is a beautiful baby, such a little treasure. A wedding and another baby to look forward to is lovely. Poor Stella has been in the wars, I'm glad she is feeling better. Please tell Rory his grey whiskers do make him look very distinguished.
ReplyDeleteTake care x
Now that is a lot of news! Mostly good news. We hope Evie's hips will soon be okay. Sounds like Stella is feeling feisty, despite surgery.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad I came across your blog. Your new grand baby is so beautiful. Bless her heart. She will be fine I'm sure. Love the dogs. We have a Great Dane. He is going gray too. He is our second Dane. they are very sweet.
