Anyhoo to take our minds off that it was time to put our Christmas tree up and let me tell you, we were very excited. This is our first Christmas and we didn't know what it was all about.
Mum was pretty smart aye? Oh I will take some photos.
Can you vaccum? My Dad is just fab.
What's this Dad?
Lights go on first.
I'm so excited, I just had to roll.
Try to ignore Mum's jim jams. She is getting old and has to get ready for bed early.
Just a few more baubles.
And a few more!
Mum, could it get any more exciting than this????
For the love of dog! No-one told me this was part of the festivities.
Oh no. You too Tyler?
If I smile will you take it off Nana? Please?
You silly doofus. You're supposed to run away when the antlers come out.
Well, there it is. Our Christmas tree. We love it.
Just wanted to show you my mum's trifle. She was feeling a bit sad the other day and my biggest sissy made her a trifle. My angel Nana always made one for mum on her birthday so Sissy thought it might cheer mum up. It did. Thanks Sissy. We love you heaps.
We also had a birthday cake for my big brother. I think it was yum. Everyone ate it all up but we couldn't try cause it had lots and lots of chocolate in it. It looks pretty though.
Happy 25th Birthday big brother.
See you all soon.
No worries, and slobbery love, Rory (and Stellie)
Trifle is HER favourite. SHE only has it at Christmas....and SHE doesn't even share with us...humf!!!
ReplyDeleteYour tree looks great....be sure and tell Rory that you aren't supposed to eat or play with those coloured balls.
XXXOOO Daisy, Kendra, Bella & roxy
Wow, look at your tree! It is so pretty! It's my first Christmas too, and I am so excited. I love that trifle, looks delicious! Hope your brother had a great day!
ReplyDeleteoooooooooooooooh - your Christmas tree is just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWe've never had trifle. It sure does look yummy!
Love ya lots
Maggie and Mitch
Your tree looks beautiful! Methinks we could use some of those decorating skills around here as my hopeless humans can make any tree look pathetic.
ReplyDeleteThe antlers, sigh, another tradition and one which seems to provide the humans with endless entertainments. Such simple creatures.
Slobbers,
Mango
Hey guys, this will be my 2nd Christmas - so I already have it all sussed out. You have to keep an eye out for a big dude in red called "Santy Paws" - he will dish our treats and toys if you have been good. So be good huh??!!
ReplyDeleteYour tree is pretty. We still have to do that. Mum is in denial.
Tail Wuggles, Rubie
Yummers....your mums trifle looks yummy. Your brothers cake looks just simply daleicious!
ReplyDeleteCrikey you put your tree up already? It looks bootiful. Santa paws must be sooner than we thought! Rory love the antler piccie. Hope Stella's neckie is soon all better.
Big Nose Pokes
The Thugletsx
Wow - you have a beautiful tree! And, that trifle looks mighty yummy! Happy 25th Birthday to your brother!
ReplyDeleteStewey
My mother always made a trifle during the holidays! I certainly do miss her, especially this time of year!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Kit
Hi Stella and Rory, we'll take a couple of pieces :) Looks like everyone had a great time. Hope your owie gets better soon Stella.
ReplyDeleteA trifle, we don't know what it is, but were gonna look it up. It looks so yummy we are gonna try one. Your tree sure is pretty mom says your lucky, we can't put bulbs on the bottom of ours (silly Jake eats them). Happy birthday to your brother. Feel better Stella
ReplyDeleteThe silvers and more
Oh that trifle stuff looks yummy and then some!! We likes y'alls Christmas tree. You did a great job overseeing the work!
ReplyDeleteAROOOOOF!
Boondocks & The Love Shack Pack
First of all, your mom looks so hot in her jim jams!
ReplyDeleteSecondly, wishing your big brother a happy 25th barkday! That cake looks yummy (and sinful)!
And lastly, that's apretty tree. Ours is going to be up this weekend.
Love,
Homer
Oh your Christmas tree is lovely! We put up lights outside and next will be inside the house decorating. Something tells me Tucker will not be in the same room as he will just want to eat everything he sees...even if it is not food. He doesn't know better yet like you.
ReplyDeleteThe Trifle looked heavenly as well as the Chocolate cake....yummmmmmm!
And lastly you looked cute with the antlers on. I know you might feel silly but look at all the great attention that came from it. I wonder if I could get our Pupparoos to wear some?
Now Rory, with this being your furst Chrissmuss and all, you do know that the inside tree duss not mean indoor plumbing, like you isn't allowed to leave pee mail on it, rite? I swear the hoomans bring trees inside just to mess with our branes. Furst they tell us pee outside then they bring the outside inside. I think I ofurheard mom saying she has enuff Santa hats fur all of us. Shudder. We should be looking fur hiding places NOW. But you has the most bootifullest tree efur and those noms look delish even if'n they has froot (BLECH!) in them. Well, mom do be sitting here drooling...
ReplyDeleteHiya Stella & Rory - Greetings from France!Your tree looks sparkly and fabulous..bad luck about the antlers - it's that time of year when our weird humans insist we look like reindeer...no getting away from it, unless there is a santa hat in there which is always the better option since you can chew that afterwads! That yummy trifle has made my human go all slobbery..then the chocolate cake made her slide off her chair..heehee...nice to find you through the rottrover's blog. aroofs
ReplyDeleteShawnee (above) has some very good advice as indoor trees that are covered in sparkly toys can be very confusing for us dogs!
ReplyDeleteMum was drooling over the photos of your trifle and cake, and she wishes your brother a happy 25th.
Woofs,
Riley
Shawnee said it!!!! No matter we LOVE your Christmas tree!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteYes Zoie will chase a ball but she will not always bring it back. We are working on that!!!LOL We have lost 2 balls and we only have one more!!!! So I am not playing ball with her until we find the other two!!
xx. Zoie & Fern
You sure has a luverly tree! Our tree is up too but mom had to move all the decorations off of the lower branches cuz Max thinks they look better on the floor or in his mouth. ;)
ReplyDeleteWoofs and Licks,
Maggie Mae
That trifle looks yummy and I am sure it cheered your mom up. The tree looks beautiful, but be careful with those antlers ...my mom makes me wear them, too.
ReplyDeleteYour pal, Pip
Nice tree! I was hoping to pick one up this weekend but that didn't happen so hopefully next weekend!
ReplyDeleteRory, let your sister's neck heal up and stop giving her so many kisses! :)
Oh, what a lovely tree!!! We don't know yet if we will have a tree, that is a tough one for Mom with her arm. But maybe things will be a lot better in time.
ReplyDeleteThat trifle looks soooooooooooooo good - what is that cake in there? You have a very nice Sissy to do that for your Mum.
Woos ~ Phantom, Thunder, Ciara, and Lightning
The look on your face with the antlers is priceless!!!!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous tree. Is it odd having Christmas in summer down there?
Happy Birthday to your Big Brother.
Your first Christmas and you get a tree! This will be my 11th Christmas and I am still waiting for a Christmas tree. Ya all are lucky pups that's for sure. It sure looks pretty. I would wear antlers if it meant I would have a tree.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Goose
Boy, your mom sure is efficient! Your Christmas tree is gorgeous; just don't mess with it, guys. You can chew up the antlers if you get the opportunity. Unless they're heirlooms. Whatever you do, DON'T gnaw on any packages under the tree. Even if they have your names on them. And Rory, now that Santy Paws is on watch, better leave Stella's neck wound alone so you don't get docked a pressie.
ReplyDeleteHow nice to actually see a trifle. Of course, it would be even nicer to taste one :) Mama loves the chocolate cake with strawberries, too. If you lived closer, we'd be inviting ourselves to your house all the time!
Jed & Abby
Both you and the living room are looking VERY festive! There is a certain lightness and excitement that starts when you put the tree up...a sense of expectation and merriment.
ReplyDeleteIt was so thoughtful that mom got her trifle tradition fulfilled. It made us smile.
But it's not even December yet!! Mum has a rule; no Christmas decs until 1 week before Christmas. But then she is a miserable old git... Your trifle & cake look great! Deccy x
ReplyDeleteOur Dan had his 26th birthday on Sunday! We had a chocolate cake, too, but it was a sheet cake. I'd have given you guys peanut butter sandwiches instead. And Sissy's trifle is lovely. I wish I could have some. Enjoy your Christmas tree, but, as a word of advice, try not to walk under it. Humans get very fussy about that sort of thing, as it often knocks the tree over.

ReplyDeleteTree looks very festive. Like the antlers. Did you have to wear them a long time. We haven't had to put any on. don't tell our M we liked them OK?? Don't give her any ideas....
