Hi Everyone, first off I want to say a huge thank you for all your messages of support to our family on the loss of my Dad. It was of great comfort to me to know I had friends thinking of me during this time. My Dad was a larger than life man who enjoyed a long and happy life. He will be missed enormously but life flows on (whether we want it to or not) and I know he never wanted anyone to mourn him for too long. So, I'd better let my two ratbags sweethearts take over.
Sincerely, everyone, thank you so much. Carol
Dad and Mum, love you.
Hey, Rory, mum just called you a ratbag, hehehe. No Stellie, I think it was you, I'm the sweetheart!
Anyhoo, its good to be back. It's been very sad here but we have tried to be good and given mum, dad and the kids heaps of cuddles and slobber to make them feel better. Well, Rory gave the slobber, I gave the cuddles but we make a good team.
We have also been watching the Olympics on TV and in Blogville. Its been fab hasn't it? We will come around and visit you all soon. So take care all, see you mates.
No worries, and love, Stella and Rory

We are all thinking of you and missing you.
Dead RatBags, there can never be too many slobbers or cuddles in a good home.
ReplyDeleteWell, cuddles, at least ;) X
Glad that your human people are feeling a bit better, it is a hard thing they are going through. Slobbers and cuddles do help!! See you soon.

It is so hard to lose a parent and when it is sudden and unexpected, it is so much harder. We bet the pups are a great comfort to you and your family.

Hi Stella and Rory, okay I think that your mom needs cheering up so Rory, go take a real long drink of water and then slobber in her slippers :)
ReplyDeleteI feel so bad I did not know of this sad news. I am so sorry. Just a month ago my MOM's dad died, he was so young, only 65. I am glad that the two of you are there to help your family. Take it from me, we are a BIG comfort, and Rory you are a huge comfort. Cuddles and slobbers are the perfect remedy for sadness.

Slobbers and cuddles make everything right in the world.
ReplyDeleteIn fact, I think there should be a group of doggers who are readily available for anyone having a bad or sad day who will give slobbers and cuddles to the needy.
I think there would be less grouchy people if we did.
Many hugs, licks and slobbers from us, too!
Shelle, Milo, Dixie and Newby,

Dear Carol, and ratbags, I'm so very sorry for your loss. What a beautiful sparkle he had in his eyes. It's good to have the cuddles (and slobber) of a beloved pet to help one through dark times.

Dear Carol, Stella, Rory and the rest of the family,
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about the loss of your Dad. My Dad dies at 57 but I have the memories. So do you. Sounds like yours was a wonderful guy. Memories are not the same but remembering the good times does help. Having the 4 legged furkids helps a lot too. Love and caring thoughts to all of you.
