POTP FOR RORY PLEASE

Please everyone, Rory has lost the use of his back legs and has been rushed to the Vet.  We need your help.

Update on Rory:  
Rory has been transferred from our Vet to a specialist in the city.  He has been thoroughly checked and believed to have suffered an embolism in his spine.  He is staying at the Vets tonight and possibly longer depending on how he is.  God it's been awful.   The vet believes he will recover with time.  Some dogs recover within days, some weeks and some months so it is a wait and see situation.
Will update tomorrow when I have seen him again.  Thanks everyone for your kind thoughts.

    Carol, you need to do an MRI ASAP. This happened to Sammy and it turned out to be a ruptured disk. We did surgery to try to repair the damage. But first things first. Do the MRI. Assess the situation and then decide whether surgery is a viable option. You can write me at mydogsam01@gmail.com I will get the email right away on my phone.     OH, NO! I am so sorry! I hope Rory makes a full and speedy recovery!

    Having Corgis, a breed very predisposed to back troubles, I know how awful this is with a much smaller breed. They often do make a full recovery after they have suffered a slipped disc. It takes time and physical therapy, but they do get better.

    Mom got up early to check to see if you had posted an update, thank you so much for taking the time to let us know how Rory is doing, he was in all our prayers last night, and we all had a hard time sleeping just thinking about dear rory. We are sending you hugs to all!!

    That's horrible news...Rory not being able to use his legs. We certainly hope that the vet is right and he will be better soon. It is a worrying time... We're sending hugs to all of you.
